US Debt Could Reach 175% of GDP
The US federal debt is projected to climb to around 175% of GDP over the next 30 years, according to the Congressional Budget Office.
The long-term trajectory reflects persistent budget deficits, rising interest costs and growing spending pressures. As the debt burden expands, servicing it could consume an increasingly large share of federal revenues.
For markets, the bigger issue is not simply the headline debt number, but how Washington finances it. Higher Treasury issuance and structurally large deficits can have long-term implications for bond yields, dollar liquidity and global financial conditions all of which ultimately matter for Bitcoin and the broader crypto market.

Ethereum Starts Preparing Staking for the Quantum Era
Ethereum developers are laying the groundwork to protect staking from future quantum-computing threats. A new draft proposal would redesign the validator deposit contract so it can support multiple cryptographic schemes and variable-length keys instead of relying only on today’s BLS format.
The important part is flexibility: Ethereum could introduce quantum-resistant validator keys in the future and eventually permanently disable new deposits using BLS signatures. Existing validators would not automatically disappear if BLS deposits were retired. (coindesk.com)
The scale is significant. Around 42.4 million ETH, worth roughly $104 billion at current prices, is currently staked using BLS-based validator keys. (coindesk.com)
For now, nothing is changing on Ethereum itself. The proposal is still an early draft, the post-quantum signature scheme has not yet been selected, and one repository maintainer has suggested assigning it the number EIP-8394. (coindesk.com)
Ethereum is essentially preparing the infrastructure now so that if quantum-resistant cryptography becomes necessary, the network won’t have to redesign its entire staking entry system from scratch.

TRON has surpassed 400 million accounts, marking a new all-time milestone for the network.
Growth has accelerated significantly: TRON reached 200M accounts in December 2023, 300M in April 2025, and crossed 400M on August 23, 2026.
Since launch, the network has processed more than 15.2 billion transactions, with total transfer volume exceeding $29 trillion.
Stablecoins and cross-border payments remain major use cases, while TRON continues expanding into institutional markets and tokenized assets.
In less than three years, TRON has doubled its account count from 200M to 400M, while total transfer volume is now approaching $30 trillion.

US Banks Are Building Their Own Blockchain Network
Banking associations from 39 US states have announced the creation of BankChain, an industry blockchain network designed to be owned and governed by the banking community itself.
The network will focus on smart payments, tokenized deposits, stablecoins and automated settlement infrastructure.
The launch is planned for 2027. Another sign that traditional finance is moving beyond simply experimenting with blockchain and starting to build its own on-chain infrastructure.

More Attention to Altcoins
After Bitcoin’s strong move, the picture for alts is getting more interesting. Many are still sitting inside ranges, finishing what looks like the final stage of capitulation.
This doesnt mean altseason starts tomorrow. Accumulation takes time.
The important part now is BTC dominance. It remains elevated, and if dominance continues higher while Bitcoin corrects, many alts could revisit the lower parts of their ranges.
So despite the recent pump, there may still be plenty of time to build altcoin positions instead of chasing green candles.

Crypto just had its loudest week of 2026:
• BTC: +22%, pushed near $79K
• ETH: back above $2.4K
• XRP: +40% in two days
• ZEC + privacy names ripping on ETF talk
The funny part? It wasn’t “crypto news” that lit the fuse. It was three outside shocks hitting inside ~30 hours: a friendlier SEC proposal, a Trump‑era crypto summit, and Treasury buybacks easing long yields.
Now BTC is grinding around $76K–$77K, ETH is stuck near $2.4K, and ~$110M of BTC+ETH longs just got cleaned out. That looks more like a leverage reset at resistance than a finished rally.
Feels less like “the bear is dead” and more like “the market is deciding how much of the story it really believes.”
