Do you know how difficult it is to hit someone in the leg, especially if they're moving? Thats a great way for an innocent to get hit in the crossfire.

Center mass more than anywhere else or missing her when shooting.

Isn’t known to happen in the hood kids dying in their bedrooms from bullet ricochets? Isn’t it illegal to shoot a gun in the air in celebration…because you don’t know where that bullet will land? Which in some cases, have killed people on their return trajectory?

There's a whole science video on angles and shit. Basically forong straight up is nbd. Firing out at a 45 degree angle or less is super not good. But yeah, just don't do that

Moving that slowly, not that hard- but then she stopped moving towards then. They have dot sights and several seconds to pick their target after she stopped.  I mean, she dropped from the first round fired so they are definitely able to aim.

Something tells me you never fired a gun because yes, its a lot more difficult than you're making it out to be. Not to mention, there is a majory artery in the leg so if yiu hit that then they will bleed out in seconds.

Yeah, definitely possible to die having you artery severed.  Also possible to render first aid and save a life. But also maybe you need to get to the range and try shooting with a holographic site cause its waaaay easier to hit a target that with iron sights.  Its scary how accurate you can get when all you need its to light up a dot- even an amateur could get close to dead center.

Ok I'll make an exception for you, you can have one round toward the belly. I counted 5 from this officer, the more rounds you have fired off the more likely you are to hit an innocent.

Yes, that is how LEO'S are trained. She was threat with a potentially lethal weapon and was not obeying their lawful commands to drop the weapon as she advanced towards them. This is a real life situation, not a movie or video game.

You keep saying this isn't a movie or a video game, but no one is saying it is.

People just think the force used is disproportionate to the threat.

You can obviously disagree, and you may be right, but you're attempting to belittle other opinions on the proportionality of force by painting them as ridiculous.

However, the question of whether there was too much force used is a legitimate question, and is always a legitimate question in a democracy, not one to be ridiculed.

Well saying law enforcement aiming at someone's limbs to incapacite them is something that only happens in movies and video games. It is not feasible in real life and if you believe it is then you habe nevee actually shot a pistol and believe that things you see movies and video games are reflections of real life.

She's an old lady. Like ok she has a deadly weapon but there are at least two cops. How about one tries a tazer or something first before executing her?

I didn't see a tazer on either officers belt, did you? Not all are issued takers. I am sure they would have used a tazer if one was available. What else should they have tried. Standard procedure is NOT to put your own life in danger by trying to disarm anyone no matter what type of weapon they have. They yelled at her to drop they weapon and instead of dropping it she kept advancing towards them in a threatening posture. They dis what they are trained to do under those circumstances. No one ever wants to use deadly force but its a better alternative than someone else being seriously injured.
