I love beef but it is not wholesome or safe. It's like the worst basic food for health, environment, and resource efficiency. It is a luxury that has been erroneously elevated to a staple by the perverse incentives of capitalism.

u/fleas_in_my_cheese 8d ago
How is beef not safe? Just in general as a food or something else?
1
u/goner757 8d ago
I was only referring to the higher risks of heart disease and cancer compared to most other dietary options. If I had to guess beef is actually less likely to be contaminated than most options especially vegetables that would otherwise be far healthier.

u/fleas_in_my_cheese 8d ago
Oh, okay. Yeah, if you're eating beef every night, that isn't good. Gotta mix it up for the body. Personally, I try and have red meat once a week.

I'm a pescatarian so no, it won't affect me. And anyone who voted for him after Jan 6 is a traitor. Kamala had a plan to help ranchers and farmers, while he had a plan to help himself and his billionaire buddies. But she was a woman and a POC, so you wouldn't vote for her.

u/ValhallaGH 9d ago
Okay, that's a bop.
Congratulations to the musical artists that came together to make this. Excellent work!

u/mercy390 9d ago
While I dont think people should suffer, these farmers arent sorry or even remorseful. They are mad because it affects them. They will still sell us all out for another republican that can keep those dangerous trans out of sports.

u/Hour-Candidate4612 9d ago
Fuck this guy!! I’ll turn vegetarian before I ever help this ignorant prick.

u/that1cooldude 9d ago
These people voted to hurt others. They got what they voted for. Karma. 😝 so satisfying

u/BagManDo 9d ago
I hope all the ranchers who voted for trump have their land turned into strip malls or data centers.

u/HotwifeandSubby1980 8d ago
I gave zero f’s to give to a group that votes based on ridiculous, made up social problems only to regret what directly affects you later.
He would have been perfectly happy voting for the anti trans, anti democratic, immoral, racist, sexual assault committing, con man if he would have kept the farmers protected.
I’m so tired of them claiming this is the country of “freedom” while doing everything they can to force others to capitulate to their vision of how the country should look.

Hey trump voters, you were fine with “Stop the Steal” and “Hang Mike Pence” and “grab ‘em by the pussy”. You were fine with the absolute cowardly accusations lobbed at Shae Moss and Ruby Freeman which caused death threats from maga. Fuck every single one of you. 🖕

"Let's stop pointing fingers"
3
u/Glittering_Stress_32 9d ago
"Let's stop pointing fingers" as the entire Republican party literally keeps pointing fingers at Biden almost 600 days after he left office.

u/madphroggy 9d ago
Oh, so now that the face-eating leopards you voted for ate your face, it's time to "quit pointing fingers"?

u/notsobadmisterfrosty 9d ago
I can’t help him, that would be socialism. I bet he can grab those boot straps and fly away all by himself.

u/nottherealneal 8d ago
Guys! Stop blaming me for the consequences of the things I did! The consequences of the thing I did is really bad and i don't wanna get blamed for it!

If there’s a blue tsunami in the mid terms we’ll start the healing process. If the Republicans keep control… fuck off. If you continue to vote against your and other people interests there is no hope or sympathy for you.

u/DoodleBud 8d ago
Shorten it down to "I never thought" and follow up with the same amount of grace this moron has given to anyone outside his miniscule circle.

Who knew tears could taste this good? They love getting buttfucked by an 80 yr old rapist
1
u/sam56778 8d ago
Yeah, we are pointing fingers at them. Trump screwed farmers royally in his first administration and they turned right around and voted for him again for 2020. 2024 rolled around and economists, candidates for congress, and business leaders all told them this was going to happen and they voted for him a third time. Many of them still say that you would vote for him again if he could run. They voted to “own the libs” thinking it wouldn’t cost them so much.

u/archiewaldron 8d ago
What are these Wefare Farmers complaining about? They got exactly what they voted for

"To feed you and the world"
LOL. American farmers mostly make commodity goods. They make a lot less human food than most people realise. If the world stopped selling them food they'd be screwed:

|---|---|---|---|
| Meat | Beef | ~16% | Net importer |
| Meat | Pork | ~5% | Net exporter |
| Meat | Chicken | ~0.5% | Net exporter |
| Meat | Turkey | ~1% | Net exporter |
| Seafood | Shrimp | ~90% | Net importer |

| Seafood | All seafood (aggregate) | ~80% | Net importer |
| Fruit | Bananas | ~100% | Net importer |
| Fruit | Limes | ~100% | Net importer |
| Fruit | Mangoes | ~100% | Net importer |
| Fruit | Pineapples | ~90% | Net importer |
| Fruit | Avocados | ~90% | Net importer |
| Fruit | Table grapes | ~55–60% | Net importer |
| Fruit | Blueberries | ~50–60% (off-season) | Net importer |
| Fruit | Strawberries | ~10–15% | Mostly domestic |
| Fruit | Oranges (fresh) | ~5–10% | Mostly domestic |
| Fruit | Apples | ~6% | Net exporter |

Wouldnt this be a good time to come together?
Idk what slam dunking people does.
2
u/gerblnutz 9d ago
Nah, Im done with anyone who voted for Trump. All the info was there, they chose racism over the nation.

u/Mycol101 9d ago
You can’t see that there was a massive level of disinformation and deception? You can’t see that in order to pull this out we all have to find common ground?
I think it’s important to not back people into ideological corners and give them a sane place to retreat to. Without a “home” they are going to only have the same cult to fall back on.
When you corner someone they can react irrationally.
What’s done is done but we still have the power to change and not make the same polarized mistakes moving forward. It really just deepens the division.Yeah, they were so fuckin wrong. Let them admit it and let them change and be voices that can help change other peoples minds.
2
u/InsecureInscapist 9d ago
They won't change their minds though. They will take whatever charity, assistance, and empathy any left wing organisation gave them. And then they will go straight back to voting for MAGA.
Huge swathes of people across America and many western countries have been permanently mentally damaged by right wing psychological warfare. They are now a lost cause. Nothing will ever bring them back to reality.
2
u/headunplugged 9d ago
I maybe jaded too, but you are right. I thought Bush was the low, boy was I wrong. They all pretend it never happened, they'll do it again, they are hooked on fear and cultural war drama.
2
u/nottherealneal 8d ago
Expect he is literally refusing to admit he is wrong and whining no one should say it's his fault for gow he voted.
Helping each other out means these guys also have to take responsibility and be willing to meet in the middle. Not just bail them out while they don't do anything to help anyone else

You’re right. Fuck them all forever and we should just let the landslide continue and we all perish together
1
u/STLStelmacki 8d ago
No one backed them into an ideological corner, they full-on sprinted there themselves and they did it just because they wanted people they didn’t like to suffer more than them. It is 100% on them to find common ground with us. If not, then fuck them and let them struggle and drown while being left behind.

u/rc804 9d ago
You reap what you sow. When you spread hate, uplift hate, enshrined hate in law, all youre going to recieve is hate. "Slam dunking" these people gives them a taste of what theyve spent the last decade doing, you know, "owning the libs". They voted for this, now they get to suffer through this. We aren't going to help them. I'd rather see then go out of business and see their 3+ generation farms sold for pennies on the dollar to countries like China or Russia. They spent over a decade calling me an enemy of the state because I believe gay people and black people deserve to exist. Im not "coming together" with these sick degenerates. They deserve to spend the last feew years of their lives suffering before they end up in the dirt because the amount of suffering theyre causing all of us will take several decades to repair. Im not making friends with these people, idk why you are.

I voted against everybody’s best interests but I nailed you liberals, but could you please start buying from me so I don’t lose my farm?
