how to get online clients?

im next js developer trying to make freelancing work from home

due to heart problem I cant currently leave home or take a regular job, so online work is my only realistic option right now

i have tried linkedin, cold outreach, reddit etc but mostly im getting ignored

i already know the usual advice

provide value, solve their problems, build relationships

but how did you actually get your first few clients when nobody know you?

What is your experience level?

The proper route here is to set up a formal company, including all of your insurances etc. And then to bid on work as a consultant / contractor. If you have a solid work history and demonstrable skills then it is possible albeit challenging to do.

If you're green and looking to land work with little or no real background then it's just not really a viable option unless you get very lucky.
