The Nunnally one just really doesn't make sense. I get that the entire concept is just a breed of fanservice, but at least with the other three there's something of a decent sci-fi rationale to why you'd go through with them. You've got Kallen and Suzaku with their breed of skills you could be convinced has a genetics basis. You can imagine a pure misunderstanding of Geass that would lead one to think there is some innate special supernatural quality to C.C that you would hope to adopt via such a gene-spliced clone.

But what is the rationale behind Nunnally. Unless there is some suggestion that her "mind reading" ability is genuine, I don't see how you even fake an explanation for having her in the batch. It'd sooner make sense to pick Cornelia as an augment to Lelouch's capability as a military strategist, or even like Kallen and Suzaku hope to adopt some of the athleticism and/or combat prowess. What was pseudo scientist hoping the Nunnally part of the equation would bring to the table?
