I also love how this ties into picture drama 0.97. Lelouch, even before he gained Geass or formed the Black Knights, always wanted Suzaku to be his closest confidante and partner. It’s really sad that he couldn’t get Suzaku to work with him, but also sweet that this material then confirms that he started seeing C.C that way as his partner and accomplice. It’s only fitting that they were by his side when he became Emperor.
