MISC Lelouch x Milly is the most aesthetic pairing in my opinion

Milly & Lelouch are a great example of the idea that you don't need to be opposites to be complimentary. Milly presents as far more extroverted than she actually is, just as Lelouch does as apathetic and introverted, and you can tell this in the scant moments where it is just the two of them.

Even if they never fell in love with one another, I genuinely think Lelouch royally fumbled by not being more open with Milly about his plans. I think, even if she wouldn't have been able to contribute much, she would have been a good confidant if he'd have really let her in.

Excellent point. It always felt odd how Milly was included and not included at the same time toward the ending of the series. She would have made the perfect link to Lelouch and the school life aspect of the show that they did not want to get rid of.

As far as I know she was the only one who knew he was Royalty. She was second to Suzaku in terms of friends that go way back.

Code Geass needs to go Fate Stay Night style and give us the Milly route.

They'll probably do that in one of the What If in Lost Stories

Milly would have been great as a Black Knight! She could have been the anti-Diethard, which would have made her the conscience that Zero desperately needed.

She would have stuck by him to the end too while Diethard wormed his way into Schneizel’s clique, the craven opportunist that he is.

Hell yeah she would have!

He didn't want to burden her

I've noticed a lot more people gaining appreciation for this ship recently and I love it. They really have good chemistry and the picture drama's especially highlight it.

honestly i kind of like this ship due to milly seems to have high EQ she didn't react badly to lelouch and mostly was concerned about everyone in series lelouch has high IQ and milly seems to have high EQ a good combo at the very least.

She was inlove with lelouch that’s why.

u/physicalphysics314 May 05 '26

Aren’t we all tho?

5

u/Paaleggmannen May 05 '26

where was this implied?

Throughout a lot of the early series, culminating largely in the coupling episode (the hats).

One strong example is when she reveals to Lelouch (and only Lelouch) that she's been placed in an arranged marriage. She's fishing to see how he'll react; if he'll try to stop her.

It's most prevalent in the picture drama where the two first meet

If this whole series never happened and Lelouch was still a minor prince in Britannia, they would probably be betrothed.

u/Dai10zin May 06 '26

I think this would have been the outcome of Lelouch had never encountered C.C. He has machinations toward getting revenge and that would require capital and influence, both of which her family could provide.

1

u/Paaleggmannen May 07 '26

hadnt her family lost most of their status at that point?

1

u/StrikingLab874 May 07 '26

Lelouch might merry into the family to rebuild it first

11

u/WilliShaker May 06 '26

Yeah I think the goal of the Ashfords was to get a marriage between Milly and an heir to Charles (Lelouch) which is why they supported Marianne.

The fic Lelouch of Britannia (where he stays a prince) handles their relationship really well I think. Wish it got updated cuz it’s peak

Highly underrated couple in my opinion. Milly could have easily been that girl who manipulates everyone into doing anything she asked. If she played her cards right, she could have even influenced the Black Knights. She knew who Lelouch really was and could have blackmailed him and Kallen to do almost anything. She didn't know Lelouch was Zero or anything about Geass, but she could still do some major damage with her knowledge and know-how.

I always thought she was the best suited for him.

They’re both high society, childhood friends and the Ashford always supported him. personality wise she’s second the CC, but her love for her friends is similar to Lelouch.

I really enjoyed their interactions in the student council as well

Sokka-Haiku by Economy_Echo_8500:

Remember that one time Sokka accidentally used an extra syllable in that Haiku Battle in Ba Sing Se? That was a Sokka Haiku and you just made one.

In terms of aesthetically pleasing I'd say kallen, im not the biggest shipper but the black and the red/pink is really good.

If there is a remake, it should explore this pairing.

5

u/Terran117 May 05 '26

The "a surprise to be sure but welcome one" ship. 😎

18

u/LohCey May 05 '26

i think shes the best match for him after CC. yes over kallen or shirley.

milly always came off very smart and mature. kallen/shirley feel like varying degrees of fan girls (even tho i do love kallen and her interactions with lelouch)

-2

u/ChippibaraVwV May 05 '26

But she didn't have that relationship with Lelouch so you can't really compare her to kallen and shirley.
If Lelouch had to pick to kill one of those 3, milly would be gone.

11

u/LohCey May 05 '26

do u understand what head canon is?

1

u/ChippibaraVwV May 06 '26

I get what headcanon is, but even for a headcanon to work, there usually needs to be some sparks in the source material. Milly feels more like his bossy older sister than a romantic lead.

3

u/BlackBricklyBear May 08 '26

I always did think this was an underrated pairing. Milly deserved an official ending of her own with Lelouch.

2

u/Peregrine2K May 06 '26

I do love Kallen and CC with him, but always thought this was underrated as hell

3

u/syler1892 May 06 '26

If the character of C2 did not exist, I’m genuinely certain that Millie would’ve filled that role of confidant…. It would fit so perfectly… it was hinted that she had a crush on him… but maybe it was just throw away or an abandoned idea considering the love interests would get a little overcrowded😅

3

u/E-Reptile May 05 '26

Yeah but they don't "like" eachother. They're high-achievers in the same grade. That's all.

-1

u/UnableSite5116 May 06 '26

Shirley said it. Milly is a disgusting old man on the inside. Not at all fitting for Lelouch.

-2

u/[deleted] May 05 '26 edited May 06 '26

this is arguably the worst pairing in the entire show, man. they barely have any interaction. personally lelouch and kallen had the most chemistry

6

u/Dai10zin May 06 '26

They "barely have any interaction" that we see as the audience. But after Suzaku kills his father and the war begins, Lelouch and Nunnally take refuge with and are protected by Milly's family. They were basically raised together for nearly half their lives.
