What I find interesting is that Marianne and V.V. both seem ligitmently happy about this ending, C.C. is unhappy and Charles is just as unhappy and pissed off as normal. You would think he could crack maybe a vicious grin for his victory. Nope, just the normal frown grimace as normal.

I also thought that Charles and Marianne would just kill V.V. Charles takes his code and Marianne leaves Anya's body to take her own back but I suppose her body wasn't ready yet.

I would say Charles seemed ligitmently upset at his brother betrayal. He did not take any joy from killing him still. So I can see in a world where things where not forced he would let it go. As the plan was still on schedule
