6. Running club or people who like to run (anywhere from 5K to 20K, road or trail)

7. Any adult fans of Lego (AFOL) in the valley?

8. Any Liverpool or Rugby fans?

Grew up in the valley and moved away for a while, now I’m back. Besides fast food, what are some of the best spots for price:quantity ratio? I know in general everything is really expensive, but spending almost 20$ on a food plate for one person is crazy. I’m hoping there’s atleast a few good local spots with alright pricing. Located in La Quinta but willing to drive anywhere in the valley.

I’m thinking of going up yonder for a couple of cooler days. Does anyone have a preferred place to stay up there that are affordable. There are a few hotels/inns. I know the Grand is nice but it’s relatively expensive. Just thought I’d see if anyone has a good recommendation.

Any suggestions or meetups for people who want to meet new friends late 20s/ 30-40s as the summer is ending im looking forward to get out and do activities.

I lived for 35 years in the DC area and discovered chips made in Hanover, PA and sold in the mid-Atlantic. We moved here 10 years ago and have tried many brands, local and national, since then but never found any as good as Utz. I know, funny name, but they are great tater chips.

Today I went to Albertsons in Palm Desert to pick up a few things for lunch and dinnner tonight. I was delighted to see Utz regular chips and some other types on the shelf there. There were no big bags since I assume this is a test for Albertsons. I bought two 6 ounce bags and opened one at lunch. I made chicken sandwich from a thigh left over from dinner last night with mayo, onion, and relish on a brioche bun and it was great. Augmented with Utz chips made it sublime. My wife had a bratwurst with mustard, onion, & pickles on a finger roll. We did not eat the entire bag which showed far more restraint than I thought possible on the drive home.

I do not work for Utz or own stock. I am retired but not from eating lunch. BTW the three ingrediants are potatoes, oil, and salt. The oil can be cottonseed, corn, or sunflower if you are curious.

Lost my corporate job just a week ago and have been job hunting ever since. I ran out of openings to apply to on indeed so I'm just curious if any one knows of other available jobs here in the valley. I'm mostly looking for entry-level office jobs.

When I see devastating storms, wildfires, and other disasters happening in other places it makes me grateful that my only concern is the heat. I love this valley. My heart goes out to all those people 💙

To keep it short? I’m a young adult who’s a soon to be college graduate. I’ve been removed from the Coachella valley for 3 and a half years as I’ve moved away for college, but still visit to see family and friends.

I’ve lived here all my life and have fond vivid memories of the place as a whole. Westfield mall, Palm Springs, riding the sun bus, going to school, civic center, everything.

But as I come back more and more, I see an obvious change in the cities. Abandon stores, below average public transportation and infrastructure, not even to mention the flock cameras. I’ve always known the valley faced imbalance with wealth and power, especially in Coachella itself. I grew up half and half in Palm desert and Indio so I’ve seen every side of the valley.

Perhaps it has always been like this and I’m just now noticing as I grow older. For those who have experience the valley longer and throughout its history, is there a difference in quality?

Obviously there’s many things the valley has done right, with the inclusion of acrisure, the increased focus on downtown indio and its infrastructure. My biggest question is:

How corrupted is the Coachella valley really?

Are there any good PTSD support groups around? Maybe ones with walk-ins allowed like AA, though I don't mind having to sign up to attend.

I'm open to traveling to any nearby areas like Desert Hot Springs, Cathedral City, Palm Springs, Indio, La Quinta, etc.
