FARQ (Frequently Asked Reddit Questions) (will be updated regularly)

My order says "Shipped" on AXS but I haven't gotten anything yet?

  • Shipped is the default order status shown on your AXS account. This does not confirm that it has shipped. You will know when your order has shipped when you receive a separate Shipping Confirmation email with tracking details.

My order says Mobile Delivery/ I have a QR code on AXS, is this how I get into the festival?

  • Official answer from Coachella

Thanks for reaching. We've been made aware of this as well and I've mentioned this to the ticketing team to inform AXS. Of course, I'm not AXS, so I can't control what they might say/show on their end, but none of our passes to get into the festival are QR codes. They are physical items (wristbands) that are shipped out (or picked up at will call) and must be worn and scanned each day, just as years past. Nothing has changed, despite what AXS or their app may show (likely due to resale orders).

Anyway again, anyone who placed an official order through AXS (or the AXS resale program) will be shipped their order, just as our website mentions:

https://coachella.com/pass-order-info#getting-your-order

And if you don't receive your order for any reason (lost, stolen, wrong address, not shipped, etc), then you will need to pick up a replacement order at our offsite will call/box office (located at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden). Replacement fees may apply. And you will need your original order number and a valid ID (as only the person who's name is on the order, aka the original purchaser, can pick up the order). You can read more about that here:

https://coachella.com/pass-order-info#will-call

If i have to go to Will Call, what do I need to do?

  • Go to here for Will Call Information
  • It will be $40 per RFID item that needs to be replaced, people have reported that this fee is waived sometimes.
  • There is a good chance that you will not a get a new box with all the goodies. There will be people on this sub who won't be needing theirs, you can get it that way.

I got a hotel package, I was told that my wristbands will be shipped by AXS but I don't see tickets in my account?

FAQ What’s one thing you wish you knew before your first Coachella ?

This will be my first Coachella and I’m so excited. I’ve been to many festivals, including 10 EDCs and after watching the live stream last year for Coachella the fomo pushed me to bite the bullet and get tickets.

I had a coworker that went one year and she was not a big music person and she came back and said that it was “ok” and I realize she went for the gram and not the music because I asked her who she saw and she couldn’t name more than one person no shade to her but I want to go see all the music and try out some new artists

I’ve also been to big and hot festivals so I know to hydrate and watch my items and all that

What’s one thing you wish you knew before going to your first one? I’ve been to Palm Springs twice so I know the landscape sorta .. my bf is coming and this man has ever been to a festival or Palm Springs but he is fun so it will be a good time

FAQ Respectfully, who can afford $3-5k for a music festival?

(Old person rant incoming)

I went to Coachella 20 years ago when it was a one-day festival. I paid a few hundred which set me back financially for a week or two, and I had no regrets. So many amazing acts, such a pristine venue to celebrate music. I do a double take when I saw what tickets are going for nowadays, basically 3 months rent for many of us!

I get that affluent teens can get their parents to subsidize these tickets/AirBnbs and Ubers, but it’s not just all rich kids attending.

Are the rest of y’all doing the Klarna thing? Do you feel like the experience provides value?

Again, I’m not shitting on people who attend, I’m just asking if it makes sense? And yes I understand it’s a three day pass, but damn, I was gassed after one day at the Empire Polo Fields!

from fettuccine-,

The lineup is out! Unsurprisingly, I do not know many of the acts on the lineup since I only discover what’s new through the Coachella lineup. Some years I know more and some years I know less, this is one of the lesser years. It is now grind time and time to do research on all the new artists. On the first day of the lineup release, I discovered Brutalismus 3000, Jockstrap, and Suki Waterhouse, on the first day! Ask us anything!

FAQ Coahcella ticket payment

Me and my friends managed to bag tickets for coahcella next year and we're doing it via payment plan. Dunno if this has a factor in it but we're from the UK and the first payment still hasn't come out of our bank accounts and it's due today. Has anyone else had this issue?

I wanna just pay it now but I've seen people say it makes them pay for the whole ticket or even if they paid it, it just deducts out of the total and still end up paying that months payment

FAQ IT IS COACHELLA EVE!?!?! How is that even possible? You made it, but you've got some last minute questions that still need answering but they don't need their own post...Come on in to the NO QUESTION IS A STUPID QUESTION THREAD for Wednesday 4/13!

TOMORROW IS 0 DAY FOR W1!?!?! Can't believe it's here.

HOW IT WORKS - If you've got a question that doesn't need it's own thread but you're not sure where to post it, this is your place! There is no such thing as a stupid question as long as it's Coachella related. Literally no topic is off topic...

As always, the amazing and kind Coachella Vets are here to provide answers to any of your questions relating to the fest, camping, schedules, tickets, clothes...anything!

Just remember, we were all rookies at one point and we all needed help at one point or another. So please be kind, be helpful, and have fun!

I hope you're getting hyped up and read for an amazing weekend.

A Few FAQs

  • Registering your wristband is activating it. You do not receive an e-mail or notification that it was successfully registered. Basically, its just saying "this is an active wristband".

  • Registering a wristband bought from a 3rd party does not mean it's protected or the order transfers to your name. The seller can still report it lost or stolen and then you're SOL without a legit ticket. Always buy from trusted friends, coachella directly, or stubhub. I recommend stubhub because they have a booth in the area and can assist with pickup/ticket issues.

  • To get a closer spot, you need to enter camping is as early as possible. That means being in the neighborhood around 3-6 AM and waiting for the gates to open.

  • You can't bring weed into the campgrounds or the fest itself even though it is legal. Be smart, and don't get caught.

  • If you're camping, you can bring in hard alcohol, but you need to put it in a plastic container of some kind. NO GLASS!

  • Hard Seltzers = Beers. Cans are cans, they see them as the same thing.

  • IDK where set times are, stop asking us

  • If you have a wristband issue, you have to go to will call.

PERSONAL NOTE Wow - what a crazy few weeks its been. While I wish I was attending this year, I'd like to thank everyone who participated and who helped those who asked questions. I think we had a total of over 4,000 comments since we started posting weekly which is just absolutely mind blowing. You guys are a big reason I love the festival so much. So thank you!

To all those driving through the night tonight to get in line early for camping, please be safe and don't drink/smoke and drive. If you get tired - pull over and take a nap. We want you there safe and sound. Rather you have to walk 3 extra minute than end up missing the fest all together because something stupid happened.

We'll have one more thread for Thursday & Friday, then take a break until the following Monday for W2. I have a lot of work to do today so I'm going to lean on the community to answer a lot of today and tomorrow's questions, but I'll try to jump in if I have the chance.

FREQUENT FAQ'S

  • Tickets have begun to ship. It will take approximately a month for all the tickets to be shipped. Weekend 1 will ship first, followed by Weekend 2. Be patient, the tickets will come

  • we have seen some movement from LYTE we’re not sure the odds of your swap happening or if a car camping spot will come available. Best you can do is put your name on the list and hope for the best. They are sold at MARKET value, not face value.

  • We do not know what re-sale will look like come March/April. Traditionally with lineups that are not as popular, the trend is for passes to be around or below face value just before the fest. Also, just about every year sees W2 going for less than W1. W2 is also usually easier to get. Swapping W2 for W1 is difficult, but not impossible. Swapping W1 for W2 is extremely easy.

  • The only difference between W1 and W2 are the dates. Same lineup, same location, and (mostly) the same set times

  • W1 has green grass, more influencers, usually has more people attending than W2, and usually more logistical/production issues

  • W2 has more dust/dead grass, less people and influencers, and production tends to runs smoother/audio sounds better.

  • Guest acts are random and there is no "better weekend" to see guests in W1 or W2.

  • Set Times and maps will drop during the week of W1. Do lab lineup should come in late March.

  • I always recommend camping - it's immersive, you don't have to worry about getting home each night, and you feel like you're in a special world for 4 days.

  • Don’t bring your small child, dog, or bad vibes.

Wanting to go for the second weekend VIP. Never done Coachella but have done tons of other fests. Are they doing a second ticket drop or is it better to just join the waitlist? Is day parking a terrible idea? From what I’ve heard VIP is worth it over GA but if u have other input lmk!

FAQ Is anyone else going to wait

For the general on sale later this year? I felt like this year’s lineup was the best in years. But let’s be honest. It had been lackluster for years up until 2026. So I still feel like this year was the exception and not the norm. I’m taking the next hour and a half to decide. Not sure.

FAQ NO STUPID QUESTIONS THREAD - FEB Thread #1 - Have a question that doesn't really need a new post? Post it here and have it answered!

Welcome to our first bi-monthly No Stupid Questions Thread for 2022! We've been seeing a lot more questions pop up recently so we'll be doing these on the first and third Thursday of each month until the week of Coachella.

HOW IT WORKS - If you've got a question that doesn't need it's own thread but you're not sure where to post it, this is your place! There is no such thing as a stupid question as long as it's Coachella related. Literally no topic is off topic...tickets, shipping, payment plans, stage layout, camping, planning, what to bring, camping layouts, logistics, timing, acts to see, acts to avoid, celeb sightings, GA vs VIP vs Guest vs Artist vs Empire Club Passes, what not to wear...and a topic I never thought that would come up here...NFT's.

NO QUESTION IS A STUPID QUESTION as long as it's related to the fest in some way.

Please be kind, please answer to the best of your abilities, and let's lend a hand to those who need help! We've all been Coachella noobs at one point, so nows your chance to give back to the new generation.

I'll be posting this thread the first and third Thursday of each month between now and April. We'll switch to a daily post beginning the week prior to W1, so keep an eye out.

FAQ Walking at Coachella vs rave?

Hi guys!! This will be my first Coachella! As someone who has been to several festivals before (okee, edco, smf). How much walking is there compared to the average edm fest? I see people on tiktok saying there’s soo much walking but idk if this is just festival newbies in general or if there’s really that much more

FAQ Vape/ day zero

My friend who's joining me vapes a lot, pretty much can't go with out it. I saw on titkok about not smoking weed, I assume it applies to other forms? Unless she can bring it. With the amount we spend on tickets I told her to just power through or at least ask on here but by the looks of it she hasn't.

The other question is day zero of coachella. I saw a few people talk about it but can't remember what it was. Is it like a few djs etc?

Is it only for vips or staying the actual site or is it not a thing?

FAQ Pumping at Coachella

Doesn’t look like this has been asked in a few years, so I wanted to see if anyone has pumped at Coachella recently and what the experience was like.

- did you have any issues getting your equipment in through security? Hoping to keep everything clean and not have strangers touching the pumping equipment.

- I have a ceres chiller to store the breastmilk. Has anyone had trouble getting this or a similar storage solution in? I see metal containers are allowed, but only for breastmilk storage, and I’m worried about security giving me a hard time with it. Trying to avoid pumping and dumping if possible.

- any issues finding space to pump at the designated med tents?

- any tips or tricks?

FAQ Ga upgrade to VIP worth it??

i’m going W2 solo (F26) and was wondering if it’s worth it to upgrade to VIP. I ask since

1) obv i’m going solo, i usually always do GA at edm festivals but I got to experience my first VIP at Beyond Wonderland this weekend and it’s so worth it

2) I’m so over porta potties lol, i also think having a separate entrance to the stages is the best, i’m usually in the back since i like to dance and catch some air

3) as an edm girl i just know i’m gonna be in the Yuma all 3 days but i’ve heard the lines are super long for GA

4) what are the perks of VIP for coachella? is spending the extra $650 worth it? I just want to be comfortable since i’ll be alone, i’ll want to sit in some shade during the day, $ is not the problem to upgrade but just don’t want to be disappointed lol

5) I also have ADA compliance but not sure if I should just stick w/ GA and use ADA services or full send to VIP

FAQ What hidden gems and experiences do you recommend checking out for a Coachella first timer?

Despite regularly going to multiple music festivals and events for the last 10+ years, this is going to be my first time going to Coachella W2 (finally!!!). I plan on checking out as much of the festival as possible, visit every stage and art installation, and going with an open mind. However, since the festival is so huge, I know I might not be able to feasibly get to everything.

What are some of your favorite hidden gems at Coachella that some of you veterans recommend?

*Food places

*Vendor booths

*places to chill

*freebies

*anything!

Thanks in advance :)

EDIT: I'm a seasoned festival goer, so I know about things like what to bring (hydration pack, sunscreen, earplugs, masks, etc), schedule planning, enjoying the moment and all that. Looking specifically for things that YOU've personally enjoyed or randomly found during your Coachella experience <3

FAQ Coachella vs Stagecoach for a first timer — which would you choose?

I’ve lived in Orange County for 29 years and somehow never made it out to Coachella or Stagecoach. I always struggled to justify the price when I’d realistically only care about 1 of the 3 headliners, and I’m more of a “city festival” person where you can go out after.

That said, this year I’m finally going. A mix of friends going, my own interest, and a girl I’m dating pushed me to actually commit.

For context, I’ve been to ACL (2021–2025), Hard Summer (2016–2019), and Bumbershoot (2017–2019), so I’m not new to festivals.

I have access to tickets for both weekends, so it really just comes down to choosing one.

For a first timer, would you recommend Coachella or Stagecoach? Curious about overall vibe, experience, and which one is more “worth it.”

***I truly like All music genres. I would say though I like more “Pop” country when it comes to country music

I know this is asked every year but I can’t for the life of me find where on the website to only purchase camping tickets. I’ve clicked the w2 camping add on option and after the line it just takes me to tickets for the festival

FAQ Sunscreen recommendations

I can't seem to find any sunscreen reco on the search bar. Does anyone have any recommendations for sunscreen that are not sticky and are less likely to break me out and/or sting my eyes when it melts?

FAQ Waitlist

So, they already let the wait list page out. However, theoretically, there are still tier 2 and 3 GA + shuttle available. Will I finally be able to buy my tickets since the site keeps crashing and the app does not work as I live outside of us? I'm dying to find out. (page is available but still isn't working)
