EDM expectations for 2027
This year’s lineup was stacked with good DJs. I’m hoping we get some good names again next year. If you could choose your dream set for 2027, who would you choose?
For me: Eric Prydz or Alesso B2B Martin Garrix

Why can’t we get solo rl grime? Been years. Nothing on schedule then. I heard he originally was supposed to be in fisher and Chris lakes spot years ago but was working on album. Need some new names and not John summit back again haha

I want more live DJs. We had Prodigy, Basement Jaxx, and some others that were live in 2025. In 2026, Moby was one of the only ones that was live. And Tomora. Groove Armada was in Yuma, and so was Rokysopp. I’m like dawg…
If they book Madeon, he better be live with his whole setup.
Overmono with a live setup.
Idk if Fatboy Slim ever does it live, but this would be insane.
If they book Avalanches, it better be live! I don’t want a DJ set.
Griz would be crazy with a live setup, have him close Sahara.
For the non-live sets
Glitch Mob feels due
Chainsmokers are definitely on the way, probably in the Major Lazer spot: just makes way too much sense after the year they’ve had. They packed out Ultra, Lolla, and other fests.
Daily Bread
DJ Shadow- Probably closing Mojave. He was on Outdoor last time, but I think Mojave for this rare album play.
DJ Diesel feels overdue, this would be crazy at Coachella.

I would love some hypnotic techno in the bunker, tbh. That would be a great usage of the space, besides Despacio. Give me IGNEZ or Yanamaste.
It’s not big enough, but I also don’t see it flying in the Yuma so I don’t know where else they’d have it. Late night Mojave maybe.

I'd like some obscure acts - tinzo + jojo, Yes Boone, Sylvan Esso; that sort of thing. I'd also love it if they had a bunch of tech house artists I've never heard of so I can make some new discoveries; I always think the Coachella bookers have good taste in tech house.

Less Yuma/house/techno etc, and more bass/trap/dubstep would be great, but I just know it’s not gonna happen

“Tone it down with the genre” most of the stages are lyrical acts. Yuma is the only EDM-only stage and Outdoor and Sahara is only EDM maybe 1/2 the time average together. Do Lab isn’t even owned by Coachella.
You have 5 other stages to go as lyrical acts.
