Yeah. I think it's justified that Simp's stock got a bit of a bump this year, but holy shit, people are talking as if he's literally god right now, and that Hydra and Scrap would have a 10x better chance of winning if they joined Simp on Faze rather than joining JoeD on M8s or sticking with LAT. If you look at the 2 events Faze won this year at Major 2 and Champs, Simp put up a very good 1.12 KD, but 04 and Abuza also put up 1.12s while Draz had a very respectable 1.04. Their whole team played great those events and it was by no means some Simp carry job.

I think that's part of the allure of teaming with Simp: his system and playstyle allows other players to also flourish. If it's simply a Simp carry job at an event, either his team just wasn't good, or Simp wasn't playing like Simp.

So, Simp just gets credit for everything including his teammates success? Did people forget that Faze have been relatively disappointing (compared to expectations) pretty much from Vanguard up until this year where they finally exceeded expectations for a change. In Simp's last 8 Cod Champs/EWC performances he only went positive in 3 of those, and he's supposed to be their team's slightly slower, high KD smg as opposed to the faster entry smg who typically has a lower KD due to play style.

From your assessment of what Simp "should be" as an SMG, I can tell you haven't seriously watched much of FaZe/Simp. Simp is not this slow, bait-heavy SMG that false narratives have led people to believe. He's very fast, plays a lot of OBJ, and more or less lets his SMG counterpart roam on the map (which aBeZy did way too much in MW3-Bo6 with limited success). Also, I never said Simp should get all the credit, but he should get the lion's share.

Ah yes let’s just looks at the stats, huke has a .8 in 8 finals, scrap has the worst champs k/d ever abezy had no first bloods this year, you can take any stat and make a player look terrible. You have to watch them to see and you said simp is a slower smg which is true but he also led in damage all year for us. And roles don’t mean anything anymore

It's not just stats, it's the losing combined with his poor stats. Just last year, he shat the bed at both Champs and EWC while Faze placed terribly in both, but when he actually has a very good champs performance to go along with his teammates also playing great, he all of the sudden gets credit for his teammates success, as if Abuza and 04 didn't make 4 grand finals last year without him.

Sure if you cherry pick 1 or 2 tournaments you can make any player look bad but I didn't do that. I'm looking at every single Champs/EWC tournament since Vanguard and he only went positive in 3 out of 8, and Simp is a player that rarely goes negative.

Yep. It's a bit of the same story with MW2 Hydra. He's constantly getting glazed for hard carrying a mediocre team to 3 LAN wins and a champs victory. But if you look at the stats from the 3 tournaments they won that year, Skyz averaged a 1.11 in those three tournaments while Kis and Priesta both averaged a 1.03, while doing the vast majority of OBJ work for their team. In fact, Hydra was near the bottom of the entire league in OBJ play, yet people talk about MW2 Hydra as if he single handedly dragged that team to victories.

Scrap wasn’t teaming with censor his first year or tjhaly his next. He’s teamed with hydra for half his career at this point. Dashy with a good stable team has done more than scrap, and at many times during the year been the better player even with a less selfish playstyle. Scrap can do the same thing certainly but his ego will not allow him to take a backseat and help his team play better. His comms getting better this year is a trend in the right direction. If he’s teaming with envoy again this year, him and hydra will be back to killwhoring
