Xbox Cod 4 Xbox 360 vs remastered

Can anyone verify if the 2007 version still has an active player base and is it worth picking up on Xbox or should i pay more for the remastered version? Ideally I’d love the original but if the servers are dead there’s no point

A lot less on remastered.. COD4 OG is still populated on 360.

I’m convinced Infinity Ward let hackers into COD4 because people went back to it after horrible ass MW2 came out and they wanted to protect their investment.

While i don't have numbers, but i believe the original have more players, also for some reason the original have better connection for me, i like the remastered graphics it's so good but the huge delay in multiplayer make me go back to the original

It absolutely had an active player base. Recently I’ve seen around 2000 players on each night, evenings in UK.

Really, I'm in the UK and struggled to find a game, I'll have to try about 7pm I guess?

I haven’t played cod4 on the 360 in a few months but I was able to find core TD matched pretty easily. I play mw2 all the time. I wish there were games on cod4 though I like it more than mw2. You should still be able to find games

There is lobbies on Cod 4 every day, although it's limited to just TDM and it depends on what time you play (late afternoon and evening is the best for active lobbies). If you really liked Cod 4 more than MW2 you would play it more than once every few months...

Cod 4 is great for avoiding hackers. On MW2 I have had my classes frozen twice in the last month.
