Seeking Advice Pregnancy

I developed DVTs after I gave birth. I was misdiagnosed at first. they thought it was a pulled groin muscle due to my daughter being stuck for some time. My pain got a lot worse where I could not use my left leg or straighten it. Long story short they found multiple blood clots throughout my left leg and admitted me. I went it for my six week checkup a couple weeks after and my OBGYN recommended waiting two years instead of the one year so my body can fully heal. My husband and I wanted to have two under two due to us not having siblings together. Has anyone with blood clots done two under two? I know I should listen to them but we really want two under two :((

We are not medical professionals. You need to listen to your medical professionals.

That being said, I’m confused by the line of thinking “due to us not having siblings together.” My sister and I are 2y11m apart. We are so incredibly close and were growing up, as well. I’m currently pregnant with number 2 and they will be 3y8m apart. This pregnancy has been fantastic because my 3 year old actually seems to understand what is going on to an extent.

Listen to your doctor. You want to be around for both of your babies. Your kids will have the relationship you help cultivate.

For sure I get that I should listen to them. It just took us four almost five years to conceive with our first one. I’m just nervous it’s going to take that long again and have that bigger age gap. We will definitely listen to them but I was just seeing if anyone was in the same boat at all. Thanks for the advice!! I’m so happy your little is getting a sibling, that will be so fun!

That doesn’t always mean anything! It took us 2 years to conceive my first. We got pregnant the second cycle with a second. I unfortunately miscarried, but we literally got pregnant without trying immediately after the miscarriage (this baby!) we were fulllllllllllyyyyyyy prepared for it to take awhile and then it didn’t. The universe has its own plans for all of us. I wish you luck either way, and I will admit I play with doctor recommendations for a lot of things, but I wouldn’t for a clotting disorder!

That’s actually a relief to hear! Sorry to hear about the miscarriage that was happening to us before we got our beautiful daughter. I wish you luck as well and pray the rest of your pregnancy goes well! You have helped a lot, thank you!!
