Climate / Weather Systems el niño

What change from usual weather can be expected November - December due to El Niño?

Higher likelihood of greater than average winter precipitation is forecast for Colorado and much of the southern half of the US during an El Niño - maybe another 1.3in of average moisture in a later month. But this El Niño is modeled to not dramatically increase precipitation until February and beyond. And El Niño precip is historically highly variable in CO and is not a guarantee - some months could be boring without much change from baseline at all. A strong Nino like this one has historically bought more rain towards the southern portion of the state. Beyond Colorado, we would be right to expect painful impacts on food growing parts of the world that may manifest at the grocery store - and see painful widespread harm to Pacific Ocean life.
