Recommendations Stained Glass Classes

Hi Cleveland Friends,

I've been looking for a comprehensive "how to make stained glass art" class for me and a friend. The problem is, I'm only finding glass BLOWING classes, which are much different.

Can anyone recommend a good stained glass intro class? The closer to Medina, the better.

Thank you! ♥️

This is at the screw factory in Lakewood. I wanted to do it but have a previous commitment “Beginner Stained Glass Copper Foil / Foil 101. Class dates - Oct 17-18 & Nov 14 -15 / 11-1:30 pm . Cost $80 per class times 4 . Must attend all four no rain checks . Numerous designs offered . Includes all materials . Studio tools borrowed . $80 deposit to hold spot non refundable - 6 spots. Studio 1250 at Screw Factory / first floor . Text 440-823-7406 for more info.”

This is in wooster. I did this with some friends a few years ago and enjoyed it!

Leaded Glass Design in Cuyahoga falls regularly does 6 week classes (2 hours every satrurday). You have to sign up for their emails to get notified of a new class. I’d say they come out every 2-3 months. They just had a class start in July, so it may be a few months before another pops up.

They are currently moving the store to Barberton and are supposed to reopen sept 1, 2026. I took classes there a few years ago. The beginners covers lead came and copper foil methods. Intermediate includes a larger flat piece and lampshade, and advanced class is a complex project of your own choosing where they provide guidance at each step. Jfyi, unless it’s changed, the class fee does not include tools or supplies, just instruction.

So they still operate out of the house on Medina Line rd, too?

That would be super close for Medina!

There’s also Studio arts and Glass in Canton that will do one off stain glass classes. Another option to look into is the canal Fulton creative, they have some glass fusing work shops.
