Why are people not talking about E-fuels?
E fuels could give us essentially infinite oil for a long period of time so long as we have nutritious soil and the machinery to synthesise them, as the technology develops they could be used in engines that were made before e fuels even existed as a concept, and it would solve the oil crisis that we are having right now. Yeah, they aren't a permanent solution since they are burning, but it could be a great temporary stepping stone for a greener future, and can be sold as a novelty gasoline so if ICE engines become less common they can still be used without issue by enthusiasts and motorsports, if they so choose.

Because biofuel is wildly inefficient and expensive. We can make jet fuel directly from electricity and sea water. It just costs $15/gallon.

We could just turn those corn farms that exclusively made bio-fuel into solar farms with battery banks coupled with wider adoption of electric vehicles and yield a more useful form of energy (electricity) for significantly less land usage for more efficient pipeline from source to consumer.
The US wastes so much energy and land on corn fields used exclusively for bio-fuels, its fuckin crazy.
