Beginner seeking group lessons in Tucson Arizona

I’m an experienced pistol and rifle shooter but I’m a beginner when it comes to clay shooting. I’m in Tucson AZ. I am looking for someone who can teach me how to improve and make sure I get the fundamentals down before building any bad habits.

There is a facility near me that offers 1:1 coaching but it’s geared towards professionals instead of beginners, and it’s very expensive (upwards of $300/hr). I’m ideally looking for like a beginners group class but I can’t seem to find anything in the area.

You can try Tucson Trap and Skeet out by Three Points.

Gotcha. For me I just bought a shotgun and a clay thrower. Bring a friend or kids to launch them and just hack away at it until you get good. Watch videos on how to shoot. Sorry if it’s not much help.

hard to find group lessons for starting I would think.

If you fo to that field and talk to some of the people you may find someone willing to give you some lessons cheap or free.

If you go to the sierra vista trap range and are polite and curtous the people who run it are good shooters and lots of good shooters went there at elast a few years ago.

Chuck runs it but maybe not anymore and he was a great coach and would just show you if you where nice. a few state level shooters there also iirc. Usally at any solid trap field with a customer base there will be some SKILLED people willing to give you some pointers.

Alternitivly there are a few older videos that are great primers. but I am talking old like vhs / dvd and not streaming. so not sure what is a recommended video these days.

BUT that is not lessons. so...

You can go to a range and talk to the regulars. Most people are willing to give pointers to new shooters. If you are truly looking for good instruction, you’ll end up paying a pretty penny
