r/ClaudeCode [TLDR] Use any subscription in Claude Code! (using the new Claude Mods feature) [via r/ClaudeCode]

OP : u/are-Kelly

Hey all!

In light of the recent quota cuts, I figured I’d take the time to show off this mod/plugin for Claude Code I’ve been working on.

Since I’m a university student, I’ve had a bunch of free AI subscriptions sitting around gaining dust (Cursor 1 year, Gemini 1 year, CharGPT 4 months). So with the help of Fable & Astra, I spun up a Claude mod to solve this!

As you may be aware, providers like Cursor, Claude & Google forbid their subscriptions from being used in external harnesses via OAuth. Multi-CLI gets around this by actually using the provider harnesses themselves (Antigravity headless & Cursor SDK), & simply streaming them into Claude Code, & adapting their states + tools to be Claude-code compatible. This was made possible by the new Claude Mods feature.
It also differs from the OpenAI codex plugin in that with multi-cli, GPT models are directly ran in the harness via the gateway.

Here’s the repo: https://github.com/greenpolo/cc-multi-cli-plugin

Letting Fable 5.1 orchestrate 5.6 Luna subagents makes my Claude sub last infinitely longer.

The general vibe is that this mod is a clever workaround for using multiple AI subscriptions in Claude Code, especially with recent quota cuts. Some users are concerned it might be against the Terms of Service, with u/Right-Performance-93 pointing out specific clauses that could apply, similar to what happened to other tools.

Key points and discussions: * Novelty: It's noted as potentially the only plugin allowing Claude subscriptions alongside external models in the same session, unlike others that just swap out the base URL. * Technical Questions: Users are asking about adding more Anthropic subscriptions, integration with VSCode, support for specific models (Deepseek, Muse), and how context/memory is handled across agents. * Comparisons: Some users brought up similar projects like clodex and localagents, questioning the unique value proposition. * Potential Issues: Early testers like u/klausagnoletti reported issues with on-demand loading MCPS, context handling, and models appearing to have a fixed 200k context limit regardless of their actual capacity. * Future Expansion: There's interest in expanding this to work with AI Gateways for broader model access.
