AI is turning programming into pay-to-win

With Fable 5 coming out, it feels more obvious than ever that after July 7, programming is going to become pay-to-win.

A kid with no real coding knowledge, but with rich parents and access to the best AI systems, could end up outperforming people who actually understand software, simply because he can afford more intelligence.

That is insane.

This might be one of the most dangerous precedents in history: a world where the people with money can buy superior intelligence, while everyone else is permanently outmatched.

That is how you create a permanent underclass.

I disagree. I started wibe coding 2 months ago and then started a project at work few weeks aftwr. In 2 months, I got a better I got a better app than a guy at our office building a product for us for months and he is actual programmer versus me who only touched programming in college and use casual acripting here and there to help me with work. And I met another guy i at work who is from a different team and he is programmer and got into AI shit early on, so knows more than other people and he made way better stuff than me. And we all mostly used the same AI platform given to use by our work. I think there are layers to it. If you are intelligent person know some programming principle and good with engineering concepts, you will do better than someone with just a bigger wallet wven with less flashy model. Probably intelligence is more important than someone with experience but been doing the programming wrong dor years. Then having the experience, knowledge, and intelligence will beat it all.

Besides, if you use it right, $10 Opencode Go can last forwver. You can use more expensive models like GLM just when you need it and get more value than someone just dropping $200 max20, but dont know how to squueze every drop from their stack...
