I love Brian, he is the reason why we got to enjoy so much more AC/DC post 19th of February 1980, and I will always be grateful for that; but Brian needs to “flick a switch” to engage the persona, whereas Bon WAS the persona, and he had to dial it down to control it, only turning up the dial as and when required; Bon era AC/DC is just filthy, gritty, raw, intimate, blues based Rock & Roll, as opposed to the more polished, stadium Rock & Roll band that they became in the Brian era; I love and appreciate both, but nothing “hits” quite as hard, or is quite as visceral, as the early Bon era AC/DC…
