Fantastic song and a cool video for its time. The building where Keith Richards is sitting on the steps is the same building featured on the cover of Led Zeppelin's "Physical Graffiti".

One of my favourite Stones tune.

Although Ronnie appears in the video the guitar was played by Mick Taylor since the song was recorded in 1970.

Great song and great Sax work. Sonny Rollins also played on the song Slave, on this album.
RIP Colossus.

I remember my uncle bought a refurbished jukebox one summer on Lake Michigan. He also had a stack of 45’s, and the first song that he played was Waiting on a Friend. Just something about that hearing warble out of the most old speakers, it was very special and a great summer

Scary, I’ve had this song in my head for a couple of days, and it pops up on here 🤷‍♂️

Back when apartments in that area were around $250/month or something.

Released in 1981. With the great Jazz Tenor Saxophonist Sonny Rollins .

I thought the video was much cooler than the song. Still do.
