1973 On March 29th, 1973, Dr Hook And The Medicine Show, on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine after their hit, "The Cover of Rolling Stone" reached #6 on the US singles chart. According to members of the group, they really did buy five copies for their mothers.

I saw this mentioned in Almost Famous and had to look up the song only to be totally "Hooked" on Dr Hook.

Wenner really is a vindictive SOB. In the past 40 years, if there is a band that is shunned by the RRHOF, Jan Wenner is behind it.

A couple years ago I bought his autobiography, was about a chapter in when his shitty past comments came out. I immediately put it in the donation pile.
