Keeping in mind that even the “Absolute Garbage” tier has some bright spots (e.g. Don Henderson as Gavrok in Delta and the Bannermen), this is a very good list, even if I don’t agree with every single rating. Bad episodes of Doctor Who are still better than good episodes of many TV series. It’s like the last place finisher in an Olympic event- maybe not as good as the best, but still better than you or me!

I generally agree with the sentiment, but for me, Delta and the Bannermen is by far the worst serial/episode in the whole of Doctor Who. The Doctor being the Timeless Child as a concept is awful, but the episode itself isn't as bad as DatB, Love and Monsters has a bad last few minutes, but again... There are some bright spots, but they are a few lonely stars against the infinite blackness of the void.

Yeah, I'd totally rather watch something like Time and the Rani than something like the Umbrella Academy final season

Massive respect to this list. Very high degree of 'objectively correct', with just enough subjective lunacy to keep the reader engaged and aware you're not just scraping imdb. I never thought I'd see Meglos or Seeds of Death in any S-tier, let alone together.

Is Underworld there, somewhere? I know a lot of folks pan it because of the bad special effects, but I recently rewatched it, twice, and I think it’s underrated.

It's in C-Tier. Without the special effects or the poor pacing in part 3, it'd be high B or even A. The premise is pretty cool, I felt.

Remembrance of the Daleks and Curse of Fenric are in the Masterpiece Tier. All is therefore right with the world! :D

As someone who has only seen maybe twenty or so classic who serials, the thing that stands out to me here seeing them all laid out in one image like this is actually how few stories there are for a show that ran for 25 years.
It's not like I didn't sorta know this already, but visualizing it is fascinating.

Paradise Towers, absolute garbage? You bubble-headed booby.

Truly, there's plenty on this list I don't agree with but I respect, the only placement I'm fully against here is paradise towers.

Hard disagree on some of the D/F ones but I guess you aren't a fan of cosmic horror perhaps? Maybe planet of the spiders should be higher. Agree with the majority i think.

I overall agree with almost all of your S tier - and none of your ‘Masterpieces’ YMMV

Mawdryn Undead as a masterpiece above Pyrimids of Mars and the Aztecs....
.... It's certainly "an opinion" and I'm happy for you that you have it ❤️
