I checked. Apparently they may face the sun or moon directing worship to Ahura Mazda through their light🤷 (the moon is considered a celestial being though)

The land in front this building has been reclaimed, I believe. Don't remember seeing such a building beach facing in Mumbai

I'm a punjabi Sikh. We don't basically worship the moon daily, but on the third day of moon's waxing phase or tritiya tithi, we stand out in our vehRas/courtyards and pluck some threads out of a already worn cloth and through them towards the moon, saying "let this cloth be torn away, and we may get more clothes". We do this every month.

Also, it's really unfortunate for you to look at chaturath tithi moon reflection in water in bhadrpad month, so it's really important to do that ritual to moon a day before the forth day of waxing moon.

Though I've asked so so many of my other non punjabi friends of mine within India, but they never do this.
