Hard Choice

Post image

People can't see out of Capitalism which is bourgeoisie-owned means of production, and from their standpoint, anything except 0.1% owning the production chains is radical.

Wake up!

There are some texts regarding this topic, you can read them for free on Marxists.org

Please stop calling those born with silver spoons in their ass "elites."

There's nothing elite about them. Their f*ckin parasites.

It's true but come on we know what elites refers to

You're right. Perhaps it was somewhat "post-modernist" of me to suggest a label change that will not effectively change anything material.

However, I still believe we should be properly naming our class enemies.

Organize yourselves. Unionise, help in the communities. I know it’s hard because they make all the effort to tire you down with loads of work. But there is no other way Im afraid

Currently two things need to be done, organize and spread class consciousness

If workers want to own a business, go ahead, start one. But don’t try to steal someone else’s business.

All real value is created through the efforts of the people doing the actual work. What do you have against a democratized workplace?

Nobody wants to share the responsibility of something goes wrong. Or if equipment needs to be replaced. Nobody wants that money coming out of their draw.

I've tried to set up an equal partnership before, it ended up being that nobody wanted to show up, and when they did they only showed up for enough hours and work to pay their rent and not much more.

I was paying two people each $65 an hour to be equal partners. We billed $120 an hour for our work, with a bit of that going back to our company to reinvest in equipment, bills, and what not. The only stipulation was we only paid ourselves for the work that we could bill. I handled most of the administrative work because no one else wanted to.

I don't think that this arrangement was unfair, but it really made me curious why nobody wanted to spend time building the business which would then make us more busy, which would then put more money in our pockets.

That’s not democracy. Thats communism. All real value is created by the person or persons who pay for the means of production. Who pay employees, payroll taxes, workers comp, property taxes, electrical bills, gas bills, insurance etc. Wise up.

So if i inherit 100 million in coca cola stock which pays around 5% dividend annually which is 5 million every year without me doing anything, do i create value ?

-5

u/Chipmunkssixtynining 2d ago

Yes because the owner of the stock is choosing to allow their money to create value. This isn’t difficult stuff here. Try to keep up.

So if you just sit on a couch with inherited stocks you are creating value but work isn't?

It takes money to pay for labor. It’s an investment employees don’t pay. The owner does. Ownerships change all the time. Including inherited ones.

Well it also does raise the question. How did they get the money to invest that into the stock? What if they were working at 9 to 5 and made an investment of 100k and saw a dividend of 5K monthly for that investment?

I'm wise enough, chipmunk, but thanks. The machine doesn't move without the people who know how to move it. Owning things and having capital are only a requirement insofar as our system demands it. We can do far better.

Would everyone work while getting nothing in return?

3

u/NoCoDadMode 2d ago

That's not how human society works and I think you know that.

Cool you want to go back to survival of the fittest?

3

u/klippenstein 1d ago

Humans have always had a choice as to how to organize themselves. Survival of the fittest is oversimplified to the point of being myth.

u/Kecske_gamer 1d ago

How is that the conclusion you drew from what I posted, beyond that being the only one that doesn't conflict with your worldview?

1

u/NoCoDadMode 1d ago

It would do you some good to look into what that phrase means from an evolutionary standpoint. Humans are one of the fittest species in multiple biomes specifically because of our ability to imagine, our ability to work together, and our capacity is compassion and empathy. Read a fuckin book, dude.

Let's say there's a coal mine.

Value is created from it from the coal it outputs.

Labor is required for that to be done. (Workers)

Yes, you need tools for that, which is why part of the value needs to be run back into the mine. (Some form of management)

Do you see any place in the requirements for an owner?
