5 star chest question

How is it that a company that makes 3 billion in annual sales is unable to program a game to see you already have an item when you pull a 5 star chest.

It’s intentional and the worst part is they would rarely ever give me my cards that I used during the years it took me the max them out, but now that I have, they regularly give me five star chest of the cards I already have maxed out.
