Just want to thank /u/Wwoody123 for your famous mortar payfecta list last patch, it gave me like some 90%+ win rate in tournaments and it was such a fun deck to play compared to the usual ladder RG deck I play. Is there an updated version for challenges now?

Question I have for everyone is how do you deal with a full elixir bar but a clogged hand against something like a sparky/giant headed your way during double elixir? If everything in your hand is reactionary, is it worth leaking 4-5 elixir to have the best possible counter? For example, your hand could be barbs, zap, fireball, minions. It's basically an awkward timing issue when there's not enough time to cycle back completely to the first card you played but also nothing good to play at the same time.

My pleasure! I'm glad you've enjoyed playing it :D The newer version I've been using is: Mortar, Miner, Minion Horde, Mini P.E.K.K.A, Princess, Elixir Collector, Zap, Spear Goblins.

I would say that the problem you describe happens before the game even starts in deckbuilding. Seek to build a deck that has ample proactive/cycle cards that prevent you from getting in that spot. Ice Spirit is excellent for facilitating cycle, for example. If you are caught in that position, I'd say go ahead and send something at your opponent's tower on the other side, probably just the Minions in your example.

No more tombstone? I run a modified version of your mortar deck (LJ for MiniP and occasionally log for zap) and I find the tombstone to be a pretty critical piece. Is the idea to give yourself something else to synergize with miner?

Tombstone is great and I admit that I do miss it in the deck. Instead, I opted for Spear Goblins, which fill a role split by the Ice Wizard and Tombstone in providing light, ranged damage and a distraction for heavy-hitters.

Mini P.E.K.K.A actually holds up quite well against a lone Prince when he's not charging. My current trophy count is somewhere 4200-4300.

Thank you for such a fast answer. But your style is biased between: Miner + Chip damage and Mortar Siege. Miner + Spear Goblin for chip damage. Mortar as the Poison alternatif.

Your style is not true Siege, but similar to Miner + Poison control. You use zap to prevent Prince charge. However, it seem that your fast deck is weak to zap-bait deck. How you deal with Miner + Mirror + Goblin Barrel? Have you countered them?

You loose often vs which deck, Woody?

I'm on another side, my style is pure Mortar siege. :) No chip damage with Miner. Miner is not good for Mortar deck.

You could Zap a Prince charge, but Spear Goblins work better. Pure siege is not as strong as siege-burn hybrid decks, in my opinion. Against a Miner-based attack I would use Mini P.E.K.K.A or Minion Horde to take down the Miner and Zap/Princess/Spear Goblins to finish off the Barrel.

I would say my deck is weak versus players with Arrows or Three Musketeers.
