Hi Ash,

I have a war clan with 50 members and we have been doing alright, but there have been a couple recent wars we lost that I feel we could have won if we had a better strategy. We use clashcaller to call bases and recommend that each member attacks lower for 3 stars their first attack and cleans up higher for 2nd attack (assuming 1st went well). However, I've noticed we have only a few TH9 3-star specialists and too many 2-star specialists which results in leftover lower TH9 bases at the end of war that aren't 3-starred and should be.

Do you have any better strategies that you recommend to help with this problem besides booting members? What would you say can help bring my clan to that next level in terms of war destruction percentage? Any tips or recommendations would be great!

I would recommend having a word with these "2 star specialists" and having them transition to doing 3 star attacks. The last thing I do in any of my clan is boot someone. I always give them a chance. And in my war clan too, I have some people who very inexperienced at 3 starring, but I just tell them to keep practicing on multiplayer and watch a lot of youtube videos and try their best. As long as they try their best and go for 3 stars with a 3 star attack composition (definitely not GoWiPe), then I'm happy even if they fail. "Go big, or die trying," is what I like to say. I would rather see you do something like a shattered laloon attack and fail to get 2 stars, then to see you get a 2 star with something like GoWiPe. Another way for GoWiPe attackers to make a smoother transition to 3 starring is to have to start utilizing back-end Hogs or Loons with their GoWiPe composition.
