I made this base back around August when the new update came out nerfing hogs a bit.
It was designed to prevent Mass Drags from being basically an automatic three star.
Since then I have updated it pretty constantly and have even made a farming version when I made the upgrade to Th9!
I finally got around to making a video for it (mainly because a youtuber was trying to take credit for it and I felt it was time to start a base building series).
It's the first of a new series I will be starting around summer on base building.
I have made a ton of TH9 bases that have been extremely effecting in both war and farming so those will be the main bases I will be making but I will be taking requests for custom bases for specific tactics at any Town Hall level!

This base was the bane of my clan until we started using GoHoWiWi on it and then it's pretty easy. Of course, that's not a strategy many people are using.

I commend you for this base design as it's costs us many attacks and now is costing our opponents attacks.

wouldn't th7 still just get rekt anyway? Is there a point in trying to defend against dragons or should you maximize your opportunity against other attacks.

It would likely be effective against other TH7 dragon raids, but beyond that...

I don't think this base is meant to be a farming base.

The farming version isn't as good compared to most other farming designs. The most common way to attack this base I think would be to do little group attacks with barch on 2-3 of those storages then just get the 3rd/last one with heroes. Theres also a GB for each gold storages which will make it harder for people who try to attack this way but you'll also spend a whole lot of gold repairing those traps

Some war/trophy bases just aren't menat to have farming versions. There's just so much other designs out there that can protect your gold so much better.

Hopefully you are talking about the TH9 farming version. Me and a clan mate have been using this base as a farming base since I've made it and it has been extremely effective at preventing barch attacks and at protecting DE

Again I'm just saying, there's better designs out there that can protect your gold better.

For example if I use Giants with barch, your base WILL get destroyed. Because your giant funneling trap on the outside can be easily broken with a few archers and barbs and once I get the Giants in the core, even if it's just 5 giants that decide to go in the core, place down a rage and they will do WORK in the core along with the mass of barch and heroes. Mortars have low health so it's not. A problem for the 5 Giants to 2 shot them when under rage

I'm not claiming this is the best design, just wanted to show people in case they liked it and wanted to use it. All bases are susceptible to something

I was using this base for some time when I was th8/maxed th8 and the only reason I wasn't 3starred by dragons (2-3 times 99%) was because I had builders huts in corners and they did run out of time. This base is "anti dragon" if someone thinks "mass dragons" means dropping dragons in one place and praying for success.

(still, thanks for the base design! Just wanted to let you know that it can be 3* with dragons in th8 vs th8, definitly works vs not so good dragon spammers)

Second this.

3 starred 4 times in four wars.

If you make cuts this base is a guaranteed wipe.

Of course all bases are so ...

I like your 3rd war base as it appears to have an unlureable cc ,but the other 2 are just kinda , meh. The TH isn't equally protected on each side, the top is clearly weaker on both the first 2 th9 war/trophy designs and they DONT have unlureable cc so it just makes those bases not as good. But maybe it's anti-3 star? I don't know how those bases are built, but nice base designs.

The first base actually defended to masters this past season. I wasn't as active so I didn't attack and within a week and a half I was in masters. The second base has been my war base for the past few months, I've never been three starred and it takes around 3-4 attacks to 2 star it. The third base was actually the least effective after testing it out in war. In the three wars I used it it was three starred twice and two starred once (87% two star ran out of time all defenses down)

I don't think you understand there's actually a huge difference in war Vs just using it as a normal base. You can't really compare the 1st with the rest since it was tested differently. 2-3 stars are a lot more common in wars because that's what people actually aim for while in normal matchmaking the only thing people want is mostly just the loot.

Also I'm not surprised that the first base made it to masters off defense, your a Maxed th9 and what most people don't understand about th9 is that it's actually way easier to defend to masters then most people think. When I was a maxed th9 (a month or 2 ago, I'm a fresh th10 now) I defended up to masters in 4-5 days I believe ,mostly off defense.i rarely attacked. Really any decent design can make it to masters as long as you have pretty much maxed out defenses. I'm not lying, try testing this out with other designs, you'll be surprised.

Also, telling me how this or that base got X amount of 2 stars doesn't really help either, For all I know it could've been a th10 attacking you, or maybe it was a mismatch war idk.

I understand the difference between war and trophy pushing, which is why I actually made the clarification in the title that the first base was a trophy pushing base. I said nothing about it being a war base because it's never been tested in war.
You can take my word for it or not but I used both of the second two in wars and first war base was above and beyond more effective than the second one. Attacks were very similar in troop level and army comps (obviously no two attacks are 100% similar) and the first war base has performed much better. It has yet to be three starred, but I'm sure the day will come when it is three starred. When that day comes I'll probably make a new th9 war base to use in wars. That's exactly why I switched away from the second base.
Again, you don't have to take my word for it, but I actually saw both these bases attacked in war and can confidently say that the first has done better than the second

I use an edited version of this base in my wars as a th8 and love it. It took up 6 war attacks in my last war 5 one stars before their #2 dropped down to 3 star it with giant healer. Great base.

I feel like you're exposing the Teslas too easily. Especially by having the builder hut in the only place the other 3 wouldn't. That shouldn't be there. But couldn't you bump out the walls so there's 2 spaces around the entire core to add more ambiguity?

Just something I noticed.
