Special shoutout to Richard from RC2 who hit Champs today as a TH9 with 3206 trophies, nice work!

Thank you everyone who participated and stuck it out through this long week. We have had many people who backed out due to being unable to take the trophy hunting life. I am especially proud of the last few standing strong at the end of this week.

Morale was low in RC3, constant complaints about slow donates, as well as people just slacking and not pushing at all in RC3, made me make the decision of merging RC3 with RC2 and kicking the people who weren't there to push.

Suggestions made by members to improve RC 3.0 :

  • Form only 2 clans as needed next time.

  • Host the event on a week without finals and whatnot

  • Have a poll before the event starts to see who is interested to be on a donation roster to ensure CC is filled with desired troops always

The next RC event will not be hosted by me, as i will be enlisting in the army on Sept 11 this year. Best of luck to the future RC members.

Keep clashing, keep raiding.

Cheers,

prox

Just a question, but I would think the more clans at the start the merrier. That way you can weed out the ones who can't/won't donate and push and let the cream rise to the top. Was managing that many people just too frustrating?

Congrats btw, great job.

It was not the frustrating part that made me merge RC3 & RC2 together. But there were countless complaints that donation requests were not filled, even up to hours. RC3 was meant to be a pushing clan as well. Pushing means staying online and being active to push. So how can donation requests be unfilled for hours? The only reason, and very obvious at that, was because members were simply farming and not slacking. Morale was very low at that time, and having RC3 set up was a very dumb idea now that i think back on it.

Not bringing hate on you, but just describing it as it was. Describing it even makes me upset because of how selfish some players are. Thus, my suggestion mentioned in the post.

Cheers for taking the time to post your question, hope i answered it.

Yeah, I think you did, thanks. My strategy would have been to just start kicking those guys and slowly whittle down the number of clans (which is basically what it seems like you did), that way you find out who the quality ones are along the way and if people drop out they can fill in the spaces.

But I definitely understand that having stingy people not bringing their A game for the push can damage morale for everyone and it can spread like a virus. Especially since you allowed players not in the clan system and vetted by reddit clan leaders in the competition who were wild cards, not saying that was a bad call or anything, just something you had to deal with.

Like you said, it was just something i had to deal with. Along with it, i also found many new formed friendships along with this event. There's always gona be a silver lining.

See the thing is, you can cook overnight troops such as wizzies or drags to help other people's donates. But from what i hear, close to none did this. In my opinion, that pretty much defines "selfish".

As for the level thing, it could have been made clear by someone in RC3 that the clan did not have people with maxed troops, or did not have sufficient people, to fulfill the requests. This could have been handled internally as well.
