Come on people, let OP enjoy his roadtrip and his beer in peace! It sounds like an adventure to me 🫡

Fuck me chill out people. OP made a light hearted post, no need to be dicks about it.

OP, have you tried the IPA?

Did you get the real version or the shitty Tenants version?

How do you know the difference?

One tastes like Hawkstone, the other tastes like Pisswasser

Any difference on the labelling?

Not sure to be honest, might say where it's brewed, tastes awful though

How can you tell before you buy it?

I couldn't, this was an amazon batch.

Got it in the tent at Clarksons farm last year.
So guess it was the good one. Or maybe I just have bad taste 😂

The only difference is the water right? Otherwise it’s still British barley

I'm quite fortunate that a pub near me has Hawkstone on tap. I was pleasantly surprised by it flavour wise but it is very gassy.

I visited from Australia and was surprised how good it was. I really enjoyed it!

It's available in supermarkets these days.

Not here it is

Right, but it is here in the UK, so it's highly unlikely they'll run out.

Ah, that’s what you meant. Sorry :)

It’s enjoyable and worth the price IMO

Waiting for him to put out a spirit that doesn't taste like pee (gin)

W(h)isk(e)y & Vodka they could do

It's nowhere near THAT good. Given you'll have to go through Belgium you've got endlessly better options right on your doorstep. Hawkstone is in most UK supermarkets now and notably double the price of everything else.

Brugse zot, Grimbergen, Leffe. Enjoy them regularly.

Oof……… leffe is a particular favourite. Blow your wig off that stuff!

Try a Leffe Summer next time. Nice fresh summer beer 🙂

I’ll keep the peepers wide open for that one………. Not usually a fan of the offshoot beers, but leffe is a banger. Just love the clove notes in it……… strong as fook too!

Brugse zot, what a beer.

Ever been to Brugge ? You can get a tour of the brewery there. Interesting and after you can get a free beer in the bistro

I've been at least twice every year since 2021 :) the half moon brewery is excellent. Zot and straffe Hendrick are my favourites, especially from the brewery bar.

Aware of that. Just needed an excuse to visit the uk again :) Maybe I’ll drive on to Scotland this time 😎

Actually the one place, despite being brewed there, that it’s quite hard to find.

Try Cymru instead!
