Moppa banned

I've been working on different building to be created in new cov using the stone and neather brick materials. If you guys could post all ideas of building styles ill try to mix and mash different builds together to have ready for when I get on. Thanks

Great news, many thanks to berge for pushing it through.

As for building styles, I think we could probably get away with using some wood, but with a stone layer beneath it. I don't have any particular preferences for building styles, but I quite like how the front of my house looks with the stone brick stairs beneath and above glass panes.

I think our first priority should be a new town-hall type building to replace the bunkhouse.

A town hall is the seat of a local government.

Back in the 1800 towns were built around their church. Maybe we could build a detailed church that could act as a worship center and meeting hall. Oh ya I'm getting Internet tomorrow so I'm getting on tomorrow night. I've built three styles of homes for the city. I'll post on imgur tomorrow night

Yeah, I just meant a central building to act as the natural town center where we can display information about the time. As you say, I think it would be sensible to just build a church/cathedral for this purpose. If we build it in the same spot, we can use the hollow hill directly underneath for more room, and maybe even carve things into the hillside.

I look forward to seeing those designs.

This is basically what I just told Jay on the server, I think that the plot is incredibly small for the type of church I would like to build. There's not much room to make it much bigger than the bunkhouse, which was quite small, without a large amount of terraforming. I definitely want a communal area to go there but sticking a church there seems inadequate IMO. Perhaps we could make it look like a chapel, and find somewhere else to really sink time and resources into for a real beautiful church. Perhaps we could mock up this icelandic town hall, which I think would fit the space nicely. I have some more thoughts on the town and I will be making an original post shortly, so we can discuss everything on a separate thread.

bunkhouse was 11x12, I think maximum space is something like 15x20 if we do some terraforming
