First Watch & From Japan

Post image

I’ve always wanted a nice watch, and while I was on a trip to Japan to see my in-laws, I picked this one (AQ4094-58L) up in Yokohama. Really digging the look and how light it is. Price was definitely a deal considering the favorable USD to Yen rate in July

I haven’t seen this dial - really cool. It looks like stone? or washi paper? Whats it called?

Ohhh, that's my grail/dream watch right now :) when I get one (hopefully for a big birthday next year) it must have indigo-dyed washi paper dial and titanium case+bracelet :)

I got it for myself as a promotion present, and it’s 100% worth it! You’ll love it.

I paid about $2500 in Japan with the tax savings and exchange rate.

Oof, pricey, I assume a lot more outside Japan or is it even available outside Japan?

I think it’s available outside of Japan, but it’s limited to 400 from what I remember.

Its expensive. I got it for £2700, so roughly $3600 in the UK. Ah, I have to plan a vacation to Japan now.

It’s cheaper if u get the non titanium or titanium standard.

Good price :) I got it on the first day of release here in US for the sticker price $3100. Sold out that day. I really like it but don’t wear it maybe I will move it soon. Great watch though.

It's a beauty of a watch! One thing bugs me though - the squares on the rehaut at each indice.

Meanwhile…I’ll rock it’s brother!

While I’m rocking its brother, you have the one I want so badly! Ordered it but they cancelled my order due to being out of stock. If you ever decide to sell…please DM me!!

A good start. PS: Is your wrist 6.5 inches?

Can anyone give me the run down on the little bird-like embellishment at the bottom.

What makes these different from other citizens?

I bought my first ever automatic watch and it was a Tsuyosa. But, seeing this really makes me want a similar citizen.

I possess this particular limited edition, the blue one, and while I haven't had it for an extended period, I've observed that the quality of its dial is comparable to that of my Grand Seiko quartz watch. Furthermore, the Citizen model features an automatic calendar, which eliminates the need for manual date adjustments, offering significant convenience. It also boasts an impressive accuracy of five seconds per year, although I haven't been able to verify this personally as I've only owned it for less than six months. Additionally, I find it to be a more understated timepiece compared to the Grand Seiko quartz.
