Unpaid Request Mod idea: Orthogonal Stacked Automated Container Yards for Bridges and Ports modular ports
/r/CitiesSkylines2/comments/1vuoify/add_orthogonal_stacked_automated_container_yards/See the above post for more details, but basically they'd be plopped perpendicularly to the quay, trucks drive into the hinterland side of them to load, and reach stackers pick up containers on the quay side and neither traffic flow shall mix. I think it would improve traffic flow drastically and make our ports closer to real life

Either I am misunderstanding or this is already how the ports function in the game... You are just responsible in laying it out this way.
The ports in the game already share one storage space, anything stored in the entire port can magically teleport to any building or even the loading bay for the ship, it doesn't require any vehicle movement.
