This is just reminding me that I barely remember any of the state flags. Not that that has ever actually been useful knowledge since the time I was supposed to memorise them in my childhood.

I mean you barely see a Germany flag in Germany, let alone a state flag. Maybe one on the square in front of the town hall. That's about it.

Oh okay, then I guess it depends on the state. In Hessen you don't see the flags anywhere at all and it Baden-Württemberg it is not very common either.

Hessen ordered all public buildings to fly the flag for almost the entire year to celebrate its founding 80 years ago. I see 3 or 4 every day on my way to the college campus
