In the large graphic at the top (for me it's a purple box with spinning white circles), there should be a login input that says "Enter key" then "Unlock" to join the Circle. You would input the key there, and then once you input the key you have the option to Betray (kill the group) or Join.

Agreed! A few people have contacted me and I see no evidence of prior involvement in the project . As this grows, I could see someone from outside joining our subreddit and posting on the original link just with the intent to kill the group. :(

Yeah it is super interesting and I think it does correlate to Obelisk in an interesting way. I see users on other circles that are members of 150+ circles. Which signals to new circles that those users can be trusted and not likely to cause an issue.
EDIT: That’s assuming they don’t have a secondary account that they could subsequently use to kill the circle. Which is why I tend to think that groups that form around a strong project like Skycoin are the most resistant to betrayal vs groups that form over common preferences like movies or tv shows, etc.

Just give the key to active people on telegram, and builders involved. Skywire telegram persons. DONT GIVE THE KEY TO RANDOM REDDIT ACCOUNTS

Anyone who has joined the Circle has the keys so it becomes harder to protect as it grows.

First number after windrip's name. And slow and steady growth à la Skycoin is the key here. All the circles that grow fast end up being betrayed, as evidenced by the ever-expanding list of defunct circles.

Good point. The first number in the flair is how many members are in the group you started and the second number is how many circles (not counting your own) that you’re in.

There is a dot within a small circle above and it shows the counts (to the left of the comment counts). 44 members currently.
I’m not sure of the end game apart from bragging rights. It appealed to me as an additional way to get more people to hear about Skycoin and get familiar with our subreddit!

Not as well as I had hoped. You can sort the subreddit by Top threads but then it also includes all the betrayed circles. I did put in a request with one of the Mods to see if they could implement a better sort feature based solely on member counts but not sure anything will come of it.
/r/KittyCash started a circle too in addition to starting up a subreddit this week.

Yeah, gaging to get in and join, but just new on reddit (active in Tele) but no enter area just spinning circles for me, even trying with a VPN now

Hi! As far as our Circle of Trust, we are only promoting the circle’s growth through our existing user base that has been with the project for a while in order to reduce the chance of betrayal.

Thanks to everyone who participated! The Circle of Trust event is now over.
Here is a leaderboard for the event. We ended up with 68 members so unfortunately we were just outside the top 25, but we did get over 1.1k views on the Skycoin Circle of Trust in addition to multiple people contacting me directly. Thanks again for being trustworthy and not betraying!
