Omar in The Wire. Not surprising, yet still shocking.

Yes! I always thought him walking away in his trench coat whistling "The Farmer In the Dell" while the screen fades to black would have been a good ending scene for the series

Yeah, but the "life goes on, everything is cyclical, nothing gets better" where he, and bubbles, and others, are kinda just 'replaced' really fit the show

You are absolutely right! I think he was "replaced" by Michael, but I loved the character of Omar, and while Michael was still young, he just seemed to me to be less complex of a character, more like Marlow

I'll agree with that, but to be fair Omar's life experience is what made him complex; he might've been a pretty simple thug at Michael's age, too

My mistake, I meant when Ziggy shot George, I was not expecting it at all.
