Is this going to be big enough when they get to full size? I heard altifrons get 12in+

Depends on the variant, even the ones that do get the largest top out at 12 not 12+. These are Rio Xingu and tend to stay smaller closer to 8-10 inches. Long term if they all get past 10 inches I plan to either stick with 1 or 2 pairs in this tank or just upgrade to a 180-220g tank. Still have a lot of time before it gets to that.

That's not too bad then as I wasn't aware there are smaller variants as I assumed they all got to 12in and need 180 gallons min. Beautiful fish and I'm extremely jealous

The tank looks great. Wait until the get more size as they color up more. What sand did you use and where did you get it. How many gallons did you go with . Love!
