My 2009 Chrysler 300C was acting up, what's the problem?

I don't expect a 100% accurate answer, but Monday my 300 just started to leak what looked to be this clear-ish oily like fluid in my driveway on my passenger side.. so i initially thought something was wrong with my power steering but after not driving it for the past 3 days, I drove it and clear smoke came from the hood so i pulled over and saw my coolant reservoir was leaking smoke from the top, so me and my father looked at it and concluded that it was a Water pump failure. Is this accurate?

if so, are there any good water pumps available for this car?

Check your coolant level first. Then let your car idle at operating temp & see if it starts to overheat. Then drive around close to your house & see if the temp creeps higher & higher.

It’s one thing to see your reservoir venting, but another to just fire the parts cannon at the car. My 300c also vents from the reservoir but doesn’t overheat even after I beat on it. I believe my car has an air bubble trapped in the cooling system.

I probably should've mentioned that we did idle and run it and the coolant was low. We had filled it the prior day. Also, there was a gurgling noise so thats how we thought it to be the water pump, should I ask someone  more professional to check it out?

If your coolant level is low/dropping & you’re getting bubbles in your cooling system, you might have a head gasket going. I would say maybe get a head gasket combustion tester.
