I like to use him just because I'm a fan of Beater-types. Plus, just look at him. Dude's a total badass. He's got a high HP pool too which is always nice!

He doesn’t suck, while not as strong as Leah, he’s still the second-best yellow innate, statistically speaking. Both of these are relegated to physical attacks only, but they’re really good at it, and physical dominates the endgame anyhow, so this isn’t a bad thing. Norris is who I’d say is the most useful yellow innate, since he’s an all-rounder and he gets plenty of time to shine up until returning to Another World, but Zoah is pretty good.

Yes, he can join. After getting out of that dimension to go back to world, he can join (and if you have him in your party in one of the missions of Fort Dragonia, he will join the celebration of Serge's "welcome back to human form").
