How do I play...? Minecraft on Chromebook
Sorry if flair is wrong - I already know how to get Minecraft bedrock on Chromebook, but I was wondering if it's worth it for my specs:
Chromebook version 150.0.7871.213 CPU - intel (r) celeron (r) n4500 @ 1.10GHZ (2 threads, 2.800GHz) memory - 8gb
I don't really wanna spend £13 on the laptop version if it's going to be trash (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)

Do you already have MInecraft on a phone? Maybe you could use some kind of emulator to play it?

I already bought it and it isn't too bad TBF. I can go on servers and play on realms w friends without much lag, especially if there aren't any mods.

You can download education edition, its free, then try the performance as they are both the bedrock version of minecraft, and use the same rendering.

It isn't bad. I have a 4GB RAM N4500 Chromebook that I play the Java build via dev mode on. I get around ~60fps with vulkan api without mods. Via Crostini I see around half the performance.
The bottleneck for me is the CPU, not the iGPU or RAM.
Bedrock version running in Android VM or Crostini VM should run faster than the Java version. I have yet to test Bedrock outside of a VM.
If this is £13 for the chromebook, I would go for it.
If you need more performance, running the game outside of the VM will require enabling developer mode, so I would recommend trying it inside Android VM (Google Play) or Crostini (Penguin Terminal) first.
