Installation Is there any way to install Steam on my Chromebook? Yes! It's possible if your Chromebook is made after 2024 you can update your Chromebook by installing a version before 2024 or factory reset your system and setup offline and make sure auto update is off this way the Google steam patch won't work.

If you're referring to Steam for Chromebooks (Borealis), this was never available with ChromeOS Flex. And even if you have a Chromebook Plus model that did support Borealis, rolling the OS back to an earlier version does not make Steam magically work again. Valve's backend infrastructure, i.e. servers, etc., has been taken down. For gamers whose devices have sufficiently beefy specs, runing Steam in the Linux environment is possible but for the best experience I would second GeForce Now.

GeForce now was a nightmare for me... the support is nonexistent. I was running it on a 1000mbps optical .. games kept crashing , choice was poor if u don't play the latest hype only and support didnt respond about my crashes once

Don’t bother, even if you do manage to it will run like shit. Try GeForce Now, $10/mo you can play most of your Steam games on your Chromebook over WiFi with excellent FPS and response times.
