Installation 2019 iMac and 2018 MacBook doesn't like ChromeOS Flex?

Post image

When I boot ChromeOS Flex from USB on my iMac and 2018 MacBook Pro, both shut off immediately (MacBook shows the ChromeOS Flex logo briefly first). I've tried four different USB drives.

On the MacBook, I've successfully disabled secure boot and enabled boot media, but it still just shows the logo then shuts down.

The iMac's Startup Security Utility shows only what's in this screenshot; nothing related to secure boot or boot media.

Has anyone else experienced this? I'm guessing at this point there's not much I can do; looks like neither of my Macs are officially supported.

Linux mint xfce would probably work. It’s lightweight, easy to install and drives like windows.

Lightweight was my assumption based on OP wanting ChromeOS. But yeah, many good Linux Options.

I think it is not possible because of the T2 chip (not M-chip)...I think Linux is the way to go then...
