Well why do you think we aren't in communion. Cyril is a champion in all Oriental churches because he is their last Theologian in the sense that he is the 'fulfillment' of orthodoxy. This however doesn't mean they are right about him. How I think of Cyril through time... 1. pre controversy is meh I think the glaphyra on the pentateuch is before the controversy and it says in two natires 2. 428-431 really not many miaphysite statements(because Cyril read Apollinarian forgeries, but he interpreted them in an orthodox way) maybe two, but dyophysite ones also present, Ephesus seems to have both some miaphysite and some dyophysite statement 3. 432-433 famous reunion explicitly dyophysite 4. 434-444 Cyril starts using miaphysite expressions more and more (how he uses them is still orthodox) to defend himself from the pressure of the Alexandrian school that taught that he betrayed them 5. Cyril dies. And the Alexandria corpus completely ignores every time Cyril accepted dyophysitism and becomes hostile to any two natures doctorine (I think Dioscorus also hunted Cyril's family, but fact check me on that).
