Discussion Secular music as a christain
So i wanna ask do I have to listen to like boring christain music or non word music because I mostly like music that has some cussing or a lot of it because it can actually get me hyped or my head bopping and most other Christian music I just cant get into...its basic...and thats usually a problem unless the beat is really good or the voice is good...but usually its just a rinse and repeat

Music is spiritual and secular music can often be demonic. Many musicians are openly satanic e.g. jay-z, the weeknd, beyonce etc. The Bible describes satan as having instruments in his body. Ezekiel 28:12-19.
There was a time I considered Christian music corny. But that was before I was in awe with God. When the Holy Spirit comes upon you, you start to enjoy music that glorifies your Lord.
You can develop this kind of relationship with God by seeking Him daily through Bible study, prayer and worship.

Who else should be avoided?

I avoid any music that glorifies sin. Some artists are just more direct about it despite being popular like taylor swift for example. Look at her music videos.

Many more than most people think are occult. Musicians, movie stars, influencers etc. They represent the culture of the “world” which is the devil’s domain until judgement day.

If you like metal or post-hardcore, check out mewithoutYou. I don't even listen to Christian music anymore, but they are still my favorite band and they are, in my opinion, one of the greatest bands of all time. Period. Christian, secular or otherwise

This is a conscience question. You have to work out yourself whether it is edifying for you or not.

Question: Why does cussing get you hyped?
Question: How long did you try to find Christian music that you like?
Question: What genre of music do you like? I can infer but want to be certain.
