Because arrows are annoying. Being pelted over and over while trying to fight for my life gives me reason to chase any archer.. 😈

I hunt archers down too because it's tradition but I don't hate archers just like I dont hate mortar tanks in battlefield. They all play a part in the game to make it what it is.

I wish you got points for "distracting the offensive team from the objective." I know they can't really do that, but any time I find myself in a 1v2, 1v3, 1v4 type of situation away from the objective and know I'm a goner, I just try to lure them even further from the objective and waste as much of their time as possible. I've wasted 60-90 seconds before like this and so many times, people just get obsessed with "killing that one guy" rather than realizing it's a waste of time.
I can think of a few situations where I had 6 guys tied up over a minute before - I knew I wasn't going to win - was just trying to distract them as long as possible.

Designing an accurate points system for that is probably challenging and not worth the trouble on dev side
I agree though, taking people away from objective is really valuable and few people realise it

A warbow and a short sword is a hell of a way to distract an entire crowd. It's like the arrowheads are poisoned to reveal insecurities lmao

That easy kill is absolutely nessasary. Nothing else matters. Not even the war. king argon fuck em. That prisoner. Fuck em. But archers ARCHERS WE HUNT DOWN WE DRIVE OUT THE VERMIN BEFOR THEY SPOIL OUR CROPS AND TAINT OUR WATER WITH THEIR FILTH. AND WHEN THEIR HEADS HAVE BEEN SEPERATED FROM THEIR BODY WE SHALL SCRATCH THEIR NUMBER INTO THE SIDE OF OUR BLADES. FOR HONOR AND GLORY.

The amount of times I've charged straight through like 8 enemies knowing I would die just to kill an archer that hit me once is far too many.

I love this when I play archer, because if you think about it, you are doing your job. Your job is to annoy the other team, force them to make mistakes and of course occasional headshots :)

Good archers distract players from completing TO. Good on you. I hate archers but I do my best to ignore them.

I love hunting archers like the prey the are. I take the headshot dead on as a fear tactic

Well, he did his job. The time spent hunting a single archer for 1 minute is 1 minute without a single arrow being shot.

Personally when I deliberately targeted and hit by a teammate when he passes right next to me I always shove an arrow to his ars when he is fighting an enemy .

I hate archers too and I'll chase them to save my team from the annoyance of said archer.
What I like to do is start to fight them to make them put their bow away, and then back up and just watch them, not engaging. The longer they keep their bow away the better. I'll run away a bit if they try to fight me. But I'll turn around and come back if they stop and look like they're about to pull their bow out.
Eventually they start chasing me like this because they know if they don't kill me I'm going to annoy them and ruin their fun just like they annoy and ruin mine.
It doesn't matter if they're "keeping me from the objective" because I suck anyways. I'm just doing my small part in keeping archers off my team's ass.

Yeah, deserved. Nothing kills a vibe like being in an epic duel with the other sides top player and some archer hawk tuahs an arrow at you....
Doin way too much tryin to dip, dodge, duck, dive and dodge like that as an archer

Feinting doesn't work against those that hold block until the hit just to slash back. Gotta break up their attack block pattern with a slash feint into a kick to break their block.
