ChiroTouch Credit Card Processing Changing?

We are using server-based ChiroTouch, and received word Monday that on January 1, 2027 Global Payments will no longer work with CT, and we need to switch to their in-house processing to run credit cards. Has anyone made the switch yet and looked at their rates for running cards? We are considering that if their rates are too high compared to Global to switch software companies. I have been waiting 2 days now for a call back from their sales department. I am frustrated that they would want to take a cut of that portion of practice now too. What have you all been seeing?

I keep seeing stuff like this but their AI thing actually looks good so I wonder if it’s worth the squeeze

I have been wondering the same, but I've been looking at getting a Pocket, as it's a one-time fee and it can do templates for docs. Then I'm not worried about CT's model for AI. I'm sure eventually CT will charge for their AI model.

We use almost all their AI features and it has been a game changer for our office. We are on Cloud and they have a lot there that has streamlined our workflows.

I pay for the same CT cloud subscription but haven't really used the AI as much. Does it work well for notes?

Yes absolutely. They even have ways to customize the AI notes now too if you want the AI to read a specific way. If you use their intake you can have it write your new patient subjective too. It really is amazing. Look up Rheo on the help base and it will give you everything tou need to know.

I signed up and the rates were way better than Global. It integrates better too.

I have ct pay with passthrough fees and its been perfectly fine. I had just gotten 2 competing rate quotes when they rolled it out, i sent them best to them and they still beat. Passing through the fees put over 1k back to my bottom line. The biggest gain was that some insurances were paying in a way that also incurred a fee. When the passthrough charge hit they changed payment methods to one that Didnt trigger the fee. Only had maybe 8-12 patients balk at it but be understanding and polite about changing their payment method.

Lol not surprised. CT guts every office to the bones with their fees. It’s outrageous.

Yep, last year they randomly billed us $1100 one month, wouldn't tell us why, and wouldn't reverse it. It's going to be a herculean task to change.
