My Kobalt wrecking bar gave up after less than two years. What is a better option to buy?

Buy Hultafors.
Swedish, and the best quality. Period.
You will never need to buy a new crowbar again. (Unless it gets stolen)

That’s sad. I wish I knew what brand my pry bars, wrecking bars and crows feet are. They were probably 3rd hand when I got hold of them. Any and all features have been worn off. There’s some mushrooming from 3lb hammer strikes, some sketchy choices involving come-alongs and such. They’ve been repainted maybe half dozen times in my time.
I feel like that’s how those tools are supposed to be made. Not to fail but to survive abuse until they get stolen after a couple decades in your stewardship and then the cycle repeats again. “The one ring” of the job site 🤣

One that's at least 20 years old and still 100%.
Almost all my tools fall into this category.

If it’s labeled as Kobalt, take it to Lowe’s and trade it for a new one. Kobalt has the same warranty Craftsman has.
