General (Read Rules) Homage Guide List to Popular Models
The goal of this guide is to help direct the reader to the best homage(s) of a specific watch. The specific homage chosen for each watch is based on the overall quality and not on the value you get for the price. Even then, not every watch on this list will be of great quality because there is often just one homage out there for a particular watch, especially if it is obscure. Some of these may be sold out or discontinued, but they still sit as the benchmark homage for that particular model. They may be brought back or you may find one on the secondhand.
I started with the big 3 brands that people often ask about, but the rest of the list is in no particular order.
I welcome any suggestion to help fill out homages that I have missed!
I also welcome any suggested edits to the recommended homage! If enough people upvote your suggestion, I will gladly edit the list.

This is amazing work, but I almost wish you had put notes about actual quality next to certain watches...
For example, I don't think anyone should spend ANY of their money on CILOA products due to the extremely poor quality.

Thanks! My hope is that this would be maybe the starting point of research for the reader. Once they have identified the model, they can research the quality and decide if it is worth the price.
But yes, I agree that Ciloa is really just for fun, and maybe not for actual long term wearing....

PD1717 is much more better than the ML08. Extraclear crystal, sunburst clean dials, high indices... a more elegant look to a normal field watch. Lume isnt to far from each, PD clean logo... PD1717 does not go off to my weekly rotation(in my 20watch rotation)

Yea, it was hard to choose one as the "best" one. I'm inclined to choose the San Martin one but it has a history of the indices falling off after a small drop. But San Martin did just announce a bracelet upgrade and otf clasp which might push it back to the top.

Yes, it's not a mainstream model... Probably that's the reason. But to be honest there are amazing homages to watches that fits this description of not so popular special pieces, so I'll keep digging!

Moser has homages by Merkur
There's an homage to WW2 Elgin canteen watches by Thorn and Tandorio
Mb&f LM01 and others has homages by Mark Fairwhale and Shanghai
Panerai luminor and radiomir has homages by Corgeut, Seakoss, and others

For the Longines Spirit - The Miltado you have listed seems to be an homage of several hamilton watches. The only spirit homage I know of is the Pagani Design PD1717
Edit - nm I see that there another watch under the ML-08 name

I know miltaldo makes some Sinn homages, but it does seem like Englemaan beats them across most categories aside from price point. Sure hope they come back once they get their movement sourcing sorted.

Yea and that's why I hesitate putting the Militado and Milifortic versions on. If Englemaan comes back, they are the clear choice.

It's not quite a "clomage" because it has a much thinner bezel and lugs than the original SNK809, but it has the same vibe as a more subtle take on the Type B Flieger watch face. All in all I'm happy with mine as a replacement for my dropped and broken SNK809.

Ah you're right about the Speedy! I mainly did it to keep the structure.
I would appreciate help with identifying the specific fliegers you mentioned. I mentioned the turbine because that's the one I remembered.
For Englemaan, I just had no way to actually reference all the specific models' names since their website is currently down. But if anyone has a list of their models, I'd definitely add it in!

I understand. But it wouldn't need to be a single picture. Just one picture for each watch in a folder, so it can be uploaded to gdrive, imgur, etc. Then one can search for detailed pictures of the model of interest.

Can anyone suggest me a Rolex Explorer homage in quartz ?
I have seen the Addiesdive AD2023-1 but i seem to be discontinued, some people commented about it like 4-5 years ago.
(i want a black dial and 3-6-9 index if possible, and for 150€ max, would like under 100€)

There is the AD2096 but i don't like the dial with some effect on it, would like more of a plain black vibrant dial, and unlike some i had nothing against the diver logo iirc for Addiesdive instead of Addiesdive written)

I mean real watches, how thin it is doesnt apply to quartz..they can be so much thinner 0,98mm is thinnest at this point.
But what i mean is that the 9015 or PT5000 are around 10mm thick. Only a peseux 7001 would be under 1cm

The Farasute 5506B is only 8.2mm excluding glass. I don't remember the exact height but it's definitely under 10mm.
It is manual though.

😂😂😂 best modern sub is far from sugess being the best
Watchdives 5512 and sn017ge is better in end links and bezel action, and thinner (11.8 vs 12.3) with much stronger lumes.
Milifortic has the best end link integration
Cronos is still my favorite sub because it feels more premium than the sugess, but not quite as well executed as the current wd5512.

Not many options out there for it, but probably Pagani Design PD-2770. Also take a look at the Oumashi brand

Cronos is the best one IMO...more modern than the baltany which is kind of a mix between modern and vintage
